 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country.                Lagos State Government,Mr Akinwunmi Amode of Lagos State today tuesday warned residents of resist the temptation to convert any of the 114 newly constructed Local Government roads to venue for commercial purposes or parking lot for abandoned vehicles.Governor Ambode made the appeal at the continuation of the commissioning of the 114 roads built by his administration across the 20 Local Governments {LGs} and 37 Local council Development Areas {LCDAs}.Speaking though his representatives at the various locations,the Governor said that conversion of the roads to other uses other than for motorists would reduce its life span.At the commissioning of Seriki Kemberi Road and Alhaji Rasak Street in Iba LCDA,the governor was represented by Mr Oladele Adekanye,a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Apostle Alexander Bamgbola,the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria {CAN},Lagos Chapter.He lamented that some landlords in ...

                                            The Lagos state Government has called for caution by all parties as it relates to the interpretation of the Appeal Court ruling over the use of hijab by female Muslim stidents in the State's public primary and secondary schools,advising that the relative religious peace enjoyed in the state should not be sacrificed on the altar of religion.A statement Issued today tuesday by the State Attorney General and Commissioner for justice,Mr Adeniji Kazeem,stated that it was misleading and an attempt to misrepresent the general public that the right to wear hijab has been granted in Lagos State owned public schools when the appeal process has not been exhausted.The statement emphasized that while it is an indisoutable fact that the Court of Appeal in its judgement of 21st July,2016 upturned the judgment of the High Court of Lagos State,which ha...

POLICE ARREST 60 YEAR OLD HOUSE-HELP OF HAJIYA TURAI YAR'ADUA.

                        According to PM news,the Police Command in Katsina today tuesday said it had arrested a 60 year old househelp of Hajiya Turai Yar'adua,the wife of the late President Umaru Musa Yar'adua over missing goods worth N91 million.Alhaji Usman Abudullahi,the police commissioner in the state,disclosed this to newsmen on tuesday in Katsina.''The Police has arrested Alhaji Yusuf Sarkin-gida after a formal complained by Hajiya Turai Yar'adua to the Police two weeks ago.The suspect is the custodians of all the keys andd property oof H?ajiya Turai Yar'adua for the past forty years.There are 37 boxes in the custody of the suspects,but only 27 boxes are in the store.The several items in the 27 boxes are completely missing and the suspect has failed to give full explanation on the goods and items in the boxes',,he said.The Commissioner said the suspect had been serving the Late Umar Yar'adua family for the past 40 y...

                       Yesterday monday,Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt for ''The health of her family''.This divorce is coming after twelve years together and two years after their legal marriage.Angelina Jolie cited in her divorce paper ''irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and she is asking for physical custody of the couple's six children.A source close to the couple told TMZ that Jolie made the decision to file because of the way Brad was parenting the children,adding that she was extremely upset with his methods.That same source claims Jolie became 'fed up' with Pitt's consumption of 'weed and possibly alcohol' mixed with his 'anger problem'.Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie began dating in early 2005 after they met on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith.More photos below.
