        As part of the ongoing reconstruction of Ikorodu Road, (Mile 12 - Ketu), the Lagos State Government has announced that there will be partial closure of a section of the BRT Lane at Ketu for 14 working days, effective from Monday, September 14, 2020. In a statement issued today by the Honourable Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, the partial closure is to allow the contractor handling the project to commence construction of additional Relief Culverts across the road at Ketu Bus Stop from Monday 14th of September, 2020. He explained that the BRT buses that operate on the Ketu axis will be diverted to the service lane from Oluwalogbon Street Junction during the construction period, adding that the personnel of Lagos State Traffic Management Agency, LASTMA, would be available to direct traffic and ensure the free flow of vehicular movements.           Anambra State Joint Task Force have commenced removal of illegal structures on government land in Igbariam, Anambra East Council Area. Members of the task force including the State Physical Planning Board and relevant security agencies took bulldozer to the area which is government land, originally acquired and designated as Igbariam Farm Settlement.          A first prosecution witness in the trial of Malabu Oil and Gas Limited, and seven others being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission( EFCC), on Thursday, September 10, 2020, told a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, that only Megatech Engineering Limited was registered with the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering( SCUML). Megatch Engineering Limited is among the eight defendants standing trial before Justice I.E. Ekwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja.           The Lagos zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has commenced investigations of a suspected fraudster for concealing 2,886 Automated Teller Machine(ATM) cards and four Subscriber Identification Module( SIM) cards in noodles. The suspect: Ishaq Abubakar was handed over to the EFCC by the Nigeria Customs Service on Thursday, September 10, 2020 for investigation and prosecution. Abubakar got into trouble when he was arrested by officers of the Customs Service at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on his way to Dubai with 2, 886 Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards and four Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) cards carefully concealed in parks of noodles.          As the Federal Government rolls out the Economic Sustainability Plan and sets goal for National Food Security, President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday ordered the Central Bank of Nigeria ''not to issue a kobo'' of the country’s reserves for the importation of food items and fertilizer. At a meeting of the National Food Security Council at the State House, Abuja, President Buhari restated his earlier verbal directive to the apex bank, saying he will pass it down in writing that ''nobody importing food should be given money.'' Emphasizing the need to boost local agriculture, the President said: ''From only three operating in the country, we have 33 fertilizer blending plants now working. We will not pay a kobo of our foreign reserves to import fertilizer. We will empower local producers.''
