Instead they saw an unbelievable sight once out on Grenada Lake in Mississippi.  As they made their way around the lake looking for the perfect fishing spot they noticed what appeared to be a pack of dogs treading water a long way from the shore.  The dogs were part of a fox hunt but instead they had chased a deer into the water. When Carlisle and Gist found them they were a mile from shore and were completely lost. Gist said the way their heads were in the water there was no way they could see the shore. The two fishermen pulled their boat up to the pups and began loading them on. They loaded 27 dogs and returned them to shore before heading back out to rescue 11 more. The grateful fox hunters offered to pay them however the duo refused the cash and were just happy to help. I hate to think of the terrible outcome ha
