 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

      Senate President   Abubakar Bukola Saraki   has persevered through what has no doubt been a tortuous judicial process. In the end, he has established his innocence; the highest court of the land, the Supreme Court, says he is not guilty as charged. This is exactly what I did in the three elections in which I contested, before 2015. I was cheated, and I went to court each time, a firm believer in the primacy of the rule of law. The fourth time, God made it possible for me to be victorious and emerge as President of Nigeria. Regardless of the challenges the Nigerian judiciary is currently facing, it is one of the cornerstones of our democracy, and no one should be allowed to undermine it. The Supreme Court has spoken, and our democracy is stronger for it.This was what was written on President Buhari official social media page.

      The Lagos State Government has launched a global campaign to play up huge investment opportunities which abound in the State, with the view to turning Lagos into the most desirable investment destination in the world. The State Government, at the media launch of the campaign tagged ‘Lagos To The World (L2W) held at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, at the weekend, also unveiled a deal book detailing investment opportunities in key sectors including health, transportation, oil and gas, among others.   Speaking at the event which was attended by members of diplomatic missions and the business community, Special Adviser, Lagos State Office of Overseas Affairs and Investment, otherwise known as Lagos Global, Professor Ademola Abass, said the global campaign was an initiative of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration designed to better market and communicate investment opportunities in the State.        Some ex-international football players have thrown their weight behind the creation of eight Viewing Centres spread across Lagos State for the duration of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Tournament.       7th July,2018 North East Youth Council (NEYCON)Donates Relief Materials to victims of the Barkin Ladi attack at one of the Internal Displayed peoples camp in Cocin Kassa, barkin ladi LGA of Plateau State.  The President of the Orgarnisation  A.K.  Aliyu condoled with the people of barkin Ladi and Plateau state, he condemned the act as this is threat to national unity, also called on the government to do more in terms of security,thereby calling on the security agents to bring the perpetrators to book. Meanwhile he called  on government to assist and  rebuild the affected homes of the villagers and send more security as farm crops are been destroyed. The relief materials include  bags of rice, bags of garri, detergent, cartons washing soup, cartons maggi, bags of salt, cartons of  biscuits, cartons of juice, bags of semo vita, toiletries, cloths , hand bags and slippers. A 10 YR OLD BANANA SELLER WAS RESCUED AND SENT BACK TO HIS HOME TOWN BY A GOOD SAMARITAN YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.

   One of my reporter Chinenye Genevieve is reporting today with some photos that   ''So this happened yesterday,  someone put up the first picture of this boy sleeping out late in the night and beside him lay a tray of banana. William Uchemba saw the post and re-posted requesting for the boy to be located immediately. He was bothered, a boy that age on the streets at that time shouldn't be so.  Good thing he was found and Williams (a young Nigerian based in the U. S.)  Put in a video call to him via the contact with him. He is 10years old and lives with his aunt who took him from his parents to put him in school in Lagos.  oh well, we all know how that worked out🙄. He was taken home and the aunty said he could be taken away. The boy asked to be taken back to his parents and put back in school. Williams arranged for the boy to be flown back to Akwa Ibom and his family located. He has promised to help his family and also sponsor the 10 year old boy to University level. We
