 NO ABANDONMENT, NO NEW AWARDS: FG SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON MOROCCO SCHOLARSHIPS The Federal Government has firmly debunked misleading narratives circulating in some quarters regarding Nigerian scholarship students in the Kingdom of Morocco, describing such claims as false, unfounded, and deliberately crafted to misinform the public. The Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, has clarified that no Nigerian student on a valid Federal Government scholarship has been abandoned. All beneficiaries duly enrolled under the Bilateral Education Scholarship (BES) Programme prior to 2024 have received payments up to the 2024 budget year, in line with the Federal Government’s obligations. Any temporary delays in outstanding payments are attributable to fiscal constraints and are currently being addressed through ongoing engagements between the Federal Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance.                       The photographs from William and Kate daughter's baptism on Sunday was taken by Mario Testino at Sandringham House.Their daughter Princess Charlotte was baptized by Archbishop of Canterbury in a private service at the church of St Mary Magdalene in Sandringham.Princess Charlotte was worn a fine robe Honiton lace line with white satin,a hand made replica of the christening robe made in 1841 for the christening of Queen Victoria's eldest daughter,Victoria.The replica was commissioned by the Queen after Lady Louise Windsor's christening and was made by the Queen of Englands dressmaker.Princess Charlotte was baptised from the water of River Jordan in the Lily Font which was commissioned by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1840,and has featured in nearly all the Queen's children and grandchildren christening/baptism.More photos below.                       ...

                                                                         Actress Kate Henshaw,who lost everything she owned in a fire on June 25th.She was in a movie location when she called that her house is on fire,by the time she got there,she could not rescue any of her property.S o sad,but life must go on as she was spotted on monday making her first appearance after the fire incident,wearing an embellished print dress at the Africa Maguc TV series ''DoGood'' launch event that took place on monday at Oriental Hotel Lagos.I thank God for her life.More photos below.

                      The Synagogue Church of All Nation {SCOAN},today rejects the verdict of the Coroner on the grounds that it is unreasonable,one sided and biased.In a statement posted on their facebook page,it said '' The Synagogue Church of All Nations {SCOAN} rejects the verdict of the coroner on the grounds that it is unreasonable,one sided and biases.The Church maintains its stand that the incident was as a result of sabotage.We repeat no matter how long a lie sustained,the truth will someday prevail''.This facebook statement was posted today,a day after Lagos state Coroner Oyetade Komolafe said yesterday wednesday that Shoddy construction and weak foundations led to the collapse of a guest house owned by the church September 12,2014.116 people died as a result of the building collapse.

               I just got a report that former FIFA executive committee member Chuck Blazer has been banned from all football related activity for life.The former executive committee member,who has been a central figure in the corruption scandal involving the world football governing body was charged with committing many and various acts of mis-conduct.Blazer worked undercover with the United States prosecutors after pleading guilty to charges of bribery,money laundering and taxa evasion.He had acknowledged to investigators that he had received more than $11 million in bribes.

                                    After the Nigerian army arrested those that masterminded the suicide attacks in the northern part of Nigeria,the Islamist group Boko Haram,has offered to free the more than 200 Chibok girls,that were kidnapped from their school on April,2014 in exchange for the release of its militant leaders held by the government.Revealing this new development yesterday,a human rights activist,who has been a negotiator for Boko Haram Fred Eno,told Associated Press that Boko Haram's current offer is limited to the girls from the Government Girls Secondary School,Chibok,Borno state,whose mass abduction in April 2014 ignited world wide outrage and a campaign that stretched to other countries.Negotiator Fred Eno,who was involved in last year's talks,revealed another window of opportunity had opened within the past few days,but he could not disclose details.Mr Eno said the recent ki...
