 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country. HERBALIST ARRAIGNED TODAY FOR IMPERSONATING THE GROUP MD OF NNPC.{PHOTO}.

      The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Ilorin Zonal Office has arraigned a 31-year-old herbalist, Jamiu Isiaka on a four-count charge in a Kwara State High Court, before Justice M. Abdulgafar for impersonating the group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Dr Maikanti Baru and the special adviser to the president on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina and duping  a Korean national in the process. The suspect, with others at large,allegedly used the names of the senior government officials to scam a South Korean national, Keun Sig Kim to the tune of N30million (Thirty Million Naira) under a false pretence of securing for him an NNPC approval/marketing form and license certificate to buy crude oil in Nigeria.       Lagos State Governor Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced one hundred percent increase in the allowances of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA officials to encourage and motivate the workers in the performance of their duties and also in fulfilment of his vision to make traffic management and transportation number one priority in his administration. Governor Sanwo-Olu made this announcement on Friday during an interactive session with staff of the agency when he paid an official visit to the operation's Headquarters at Oshodi, Lagos. Speaking on the need to motivate the workforce, the Governor said LASTMA officials will start to earn new allowances by the end of the end of July, this year. APAPA GRIDLOCK: PRESIDENTIAL TASKFORCE GETS 2 WEEKS EXTENSION TO COMPLETE ASSIGNMENT- PRESIDENCY.#PRESS RELEASE.

      OFFICE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT   PRESS RELEASE The Federal Government has extended by two weeks, the time given the Presidential Taskforce on the Apapa traffic gridlock to resolve the matter following a request for extension by members of the taskforce and other stakeholders. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, approved the extension at a meeting of the Presidential Taskforce with stakeholders held at the Presidential Villa, earlier in the week. The taskforce which commenced its assignment on May 24 had up to June 7 to complete the assignment, but is now expected to present a formal report at the end of its extended mandate on June 24. The presidential directive was issued for the clearing up of the Apapa gridlock and the restoration of law and order to Apapa and its environs within 2 weeks.       Justice J.K. Omotosho of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has remanded Bisong James Oyen, a fake employment officer of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in prison custody. Oyen was arraigned by the EFCC, Port Harcourt’s Zonal Office on Thursday, June 13, 2019 on a two-count charge bordering on forgery and obtaining money by false pretence contrary to Section 1 (2) (c) of the Miscellaneous Offences Act CAP M17 of the Revised Edition (Laws of the Federation of Nigeria) 2007, and punishable under Section 1 (2) of the same Act.
