ANAMBRA GOVT RESCUES 13 CHILDREN FROM TRAFFICKERS, ARREST SUSPECTS. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country. BIG FIRE AS A FUEL TANKER FELL AT THE ENTRANCE OF A FILLING STATION IN IBADAN.(PHOTOS).

 Fuel Tanker On Fire In Basoroun, Ibadan A loaded fuel tanker fell at the entrance of a filling station in the Basoroun area of Ibadan on Friday and caught fire. According to reports, no lives were lost in the fire, although the crowd had gathered around the blaze. More details later and more photos below.

Nick Jonas shared a picture write up which says " we are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. SGT Jude Ogudu and 4 others spotted in the viral video assaulting a lady have been arrested by the Edo State Police Command. They are currently being held in the detention facilities of the State CID. The case is being investigated by the X-squad unit of the Command. In that viral video he was attacking a lady in black skirt and even short severally on the floor.  More photos below.

ABIODUN ALABI APPOINTED AS NEW COMMISSIONER OF POLICE FOR LAGOS STATE. (PHOTO).#CONGRATULATION.

  The Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Usman Baba has appointed Abiodun Alabi to take over from Hakeem Odumosu as Lagos State commissioner. CP Alabi is expected to take over the reins as Lagos Police Commissioner on January 24, 2022 to replace Hakeem Olusegun Odumosu who was promoted Assistant Inspector-General of Police last month.

Gunmen have kidnapped the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Trade and Commence, Mr Otokito Federal Oparminola. According to investigations, Otokito was kidnapped by heavily armed men from his residence at Otuokpoti, Ogbia Local Government Area. Sources said the gunmen invaded the community at about 11pm, Thursday night and fired severally shots to scare people away before they proceeded to Otokito’s residence where he was whisked away to an unknown destination.

Narrating his experience with the drug enforcement agency, the club owner told blogger, Daddy Freeze, that he felt so low to be linked to drugs. I’ve never felt so low. To me, it is repulsive,” he said. “I was never linked to anything, but they said somebody paid money into my account and I believe that the agency in question is a very responsible one.   Anambra State Governor-Elect, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on Thursday, said that there won’t be fanfare during his inauguration on March 17. He said that funds for such would be used to address more important development issues in the state. Soludo made it clear that he had adopted an open governance model that would guarantee transparency and accountability to Ndi Anambra; insisting that his administration would not waste the state’s resources on jamborees. The former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor said that he would move from the inauguration venue to his office and from there to the slums in Onitsha and environs particularly Okpoko community where he plans to clean up. WITNESS REVEALS HOW SUSPECT DEPOSITED FAKE €482,000 IN BANK.(PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE.

The trial of Saidu Abdu Abdullahi, a self-acclaimed Malaysian-trained software engineer, continued today, January 21, 2022, before Justice A.O. Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos, with the first prosecution witness, PWI, Chuks Igboerika, revealing to the court how the defendant had deposited fake Euro notes to the tune of €482,000 at the Ajah-Lekki branch of Access Bank.  Abdullahi, who was arraigned by the EFCC in November 2021 on a three-count charge bordering on an alleged €482,000 (Four Hundred and Eighty-two Thousand Euros) counterfeit fraud, allegedly deposited the fake Euro notes 93 different times into 58 different accounts at the branch between April and August 2021.

  The Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC, on Friday, January 21, 2022, secured the conviction and sentencing of one Raji Olasunkanmi to one year imprisonment for possession of fraudulent documents used to perpetrate internet fraud. He was convicted by Justice Mojisola Dada of  the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos.  Operatives of the Commission, acting on the intelligence,  had arrested him along with some other suspected internet fraudsters on August 13, 2021 around the Iju-Ishaga area of Lagos. Following further investigation, he was brought to court and charged with one-count amended charge bordering on possession of fraudulent documents. He pleaded "guilty" to the amended charge.

  Anambra State Government Marks  Building For Demolition Within Main Market, Onitsha A building under construction within the Main Market, Onitsha has been marked for demolition by government of Anambra State. A joint task force including the Physical Planning Board, Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police, Civil Defence Corps, Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra, among others embarked on the special enforcement operation. ABS gathered that there was no approval from relevant authorities for such building to be cited in a place, originally designated as park for the market. The developers were given one week ultimatum to remove the structure or risk demolition. Executive Chairman of the State Physical Planning Board, Barrister Chike Maduekwe cautioned against building without approval which always defaces the environment. AIG Police Zone 13 Ukpo, Anambra State, Umar Muri, today, 21st January 2022, decorated fourteen officers from the zone who were recently promoted by the Police authority. The officers include CSP Ndidiamaka Alifi Oguamalam, CSP Ibrahim Jauro, CSP Anthony Adeyi and CSP Mbanefo Regina-Jane, all from Anambra State Police Command. EFCC Arraigns Car Dealer for N2m Fraud in Gombe The Gombe Zonal Command of the EFCC, on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 arraigned a Car dealer, Ahmadu Dauda Jadda, before Justice J.A. Awak of Gombe State High Court on a one count charge of stealing to the tune of N2,000,000.00 ( Two Million Naira) only. Jadda, who deals in used vehicles, was alleged to have approached the complainant to purchase a Volkswagen Sharon bus at N2, 000,000. He offered to pay N1.200, 000 in two weeks and the balance in four equal installments. After taking possession of the vehicle, the defendant only paid N500, 000. And, all efforts by the complainant to recover the balance or his vehicle, failed. Investigation by EFCC revealed that the defendant upon taking possession of the vehicle, promptly sold it and diverted the proceed for personal use.
