Police, Anambra Stat government, to collaborate on speedy prosecution of cases April 20, 2022 The Anambra Government and the Police Command in the state on Wednesday agreed to strengthen synergy for speedy dispensation of justice. The agreement was reached when Prof. Sylvia Ifemeje, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Anambra, led top officials of the ministry on a courtesy visit to Mr Echeng Echeng, Commissioner of Police (CP) in Anambra. Police Repel Another Gunmen Attack on Anambra Police Station Gunmen in the early hours of Wednesday attacked a police station in Anaku, Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State.   They were however repelled by police officers on duty, causing the gunmen to flee. Anambra State Police command’s spokesperson, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga who confirmed the incident said the gunmen after being successfully repelled threw a locally made explosive into the compound, but no casualties were recorded. He said police in Anambra are more determined now than ever, to protect all their facilities from attacks, and also face the attackers. Anambra State Government To Build Oxygen Plant At Onitsha General Hospital Anambra state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike has stated that the State government will build an oxygen plant at Onitsha General Hospital. Dr. Obidike made this known today, Wednesday, 20th April, 2022, after an inspection of hospital. Speaking after the inspection, commissioner Obidike said that health is very critical to the governor Chukwuma Soludo's administration and that the visit was to enable him see what is on ground in the hospital and the deficiencies, with a view to solving them, as has been directed by the governor. Police, EFCC to Synergize in Tackling Economic and Financial Crimes in Edo State  The Edo State Commissioner of Police, Abutu Yaro, has assured the EFCC of the Nigeria Police support in tackling corruption, economic and financial crimes in Edo State.
