  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.                 The troops of 7 Division Garrison in conjunction with the ever dedicated Civilian JTF maintaining security and Vigilance averted yet another attempt by the Boko Haram terrorists to unleash suicide bomber into the peaceful community of Sulaimanti,Outskirts of Maiduguri city early today morning.The terrorist carrying Improvised Explosive Device {IED},attempted to attack worshippers at Sulaimanti mosque during early morning prayer.He was however prevented from gaining access to the mosque.Unfortunately,5 civilians sustained injuries during the failed attempt.A team of Explosive Ordinance Device {EOD} have successfully detonated the remaining IEDs and combed the area.The injured had since been evacuated to the hospital while troops and security agents have intensified patrol within the general area.The Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division,Brigadier General Victor Ezugwu has also visited the community shortly aftr the incident.He commiserate with them and reminded th

              Today wednesday,the Federal Government,approved the increase of Premium Motor Spirit {PMS} normally referred to as petrol to be sold not more than N145 per litre effective from 11th May,2016.The PPPRA will accordingly announce the new price.The product was seling for N86.50 per litre.The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources,Ibe Kachikwu disclosed this to State House correspondent at the Presidential Villa,Abuja.He said that the decision was reached at a meeting of stakeholders presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and attended by the Leadership of the Senate,House of Representatives,Governors Forum,and Labour Unions {NLC,TUC,NUPENG,and PENGASSAN}.The new pump price,Kachikwu said,was to ensure increased and stabilize quantity of the product in the country.The meeting also approved all oil marketers to import PMS into the country.One more photo below.                                                                                                                

LAGOS STATE PAYS OVER N48 BILLION ACCRUED PENSION RIGHTS,TO OVER 10,300 RETIREES.
