 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

NIGERIAN ARMY,INTERCEPT ANOTHER SUICIDE BOMBER TODAY AT SULAIMANTI COMMUNITY.{PHOTOS}.

                The troops of 7 Division Garrison in conjunction with the ever dedicated Civilian JTF maintaining security and Vigilance averted yet another attempt by the Boko Haram terrorists to unleash suicide bomber into the peaceful community of Sulaimanti,Outskirts of Maiduguri city early today morning.The terrorist carrying Improvised Explosive Device {IED},attempted to attack worshippers at Sulaimanti mosque during early morning prayer.He was however prevented from gaining access to the mosque.Unfortunately,5 civilians sustained injuries during the failed attempt.A team of Explosive Ordinance Device {EOD} have successfully detonated the remaining IEDs and combed the area.The injured had since been evacuated to the hospital while troops and security agents have intensified patrol within the general area.The Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division,Brigadier General Victor Ezugwu has also visited the community shortly aftr the incident.He commiserate with them and reminded th

F.G,APPROVED THE INCREASE OF PMS TO N145 PER LITRE TODAY+OIL MARKETERS CAN NOW IMPORT.

              Today wednesday,the Federal Government,approved the increase of Premium Motor Spirit {PMS} normally referred to as petrol to be sold not more than N145 per litre effective from 11th May,2016.The PPPRA will accordingly announce the new price.The product was seling for N86.50 per litre.The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources,Ibe Kachikwu disclosed this to State House correspondent at the Presidential Villa,Abuja.He said that the decision was reached at a meeting of stakeholders presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and attended by the Leadership of the Senate,House of Representatives,Governors Forum,and Labour Unions {NLC,TUC,NUPENG,and PENGASSAN}.The new pump price,Kachikwu said,was to ensure increased and stabilize quantity of the product in the country.The meeting also approved all oil marketers to import PMS into the country.One more photo below.

LAGOS STATE PAYS OVER N48 BILLION ACCRUED PENSION RIGHTS,TO OVER 10,300 RETIREES.

                   The Lagos State Government has paid accrued pension rights totalling N48 billion naira to over 10,300 retirees to underscore its committement to improve the welfare and well being of former staff.The Commissioner,Ministry of Establishments,Training and Pensions,Dr Benson Oke Akintola,who stated this yesterday tuesday while speaking at the 10th Retirement Benefit Documentation Seminar for employees who are due to retire from the Lagos State Public Service between July and December,2016 at Alausa,Ikeja said the State Government will continue to deliver tangible dividends of democracy in spite of the limited available resources.Dr Akintola,represented by the Permanent Secretary,Civil Service Pensions Office,Mrs Funmilayo Balogun said ''Prompt payment of the monthly salaries and allowances of all active workers by the Lagos State Government will continue to be our focus.This is because Government is ever conscious of the necessity to ensure the well-being of its
