 Noise pollution: Lagos seals five churches, 19 hotels The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has temporarily shut down no fewer than five churches and 19 hotels over noise pollution between March 23 and April 26  Calculations by our correspondent also showed that no fewer than four markets and shopping complexes were also shut down over noise pollution and other environmental infractions. The churches that have been temporarily sealed include St Monica’s Hall of Our Lady of Lord’s Catholic Church, Christ Rock of Fire Ministry, Wonderful Bible Prayer Ministries, God’s Porch Ministries, and an unnamed Catholic Church Some of the hotels affected are School2bar, Blue Seasons Hotel and Suites, Sulerious Lakeside Hotel, Monero Hotel and Suites, and Lekki Hotel and Suites. NIGERIAN ARMY LOCATES GRAVE WHERE MISSING GENERAL WAS BURIED TODAY.{PHOTOS}.

           The Nigerian Army said it has discovered a shallow grave where a missing major general, Muhammed Alkali, was buried after he was killed. The army said the body was later exhumed and reburied somewhere else by the killers, according to the information provided to it by some of the arrested suspects. According to the army, the shallow grave was confirmed by four independent sources in the community and also by sniffer dogs. Newsmen who visited the area of the shallow grave reports that there is a distance of one kilometre between the main road and the location of the grave. Mr Alkali was the immediate past chief of administration of the Nigerian Army. He was declared missing on September 3 when he was traveling from Abuja to Bauchi State. He is believed to have been killed by his abductors.Newsmen  reported how the car of the missing general was found weeks ago in the community’s pond after it was drained.        The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, October 25, 2018, arraigned one Alfred Azemohor, Proprietor of Global College of Marine and Technology, Warri, before Justice E. Nwite of the Federal High Court sitting in Warri, Delta State on a one -count charge bordering on fraud and operating illegal institution. Nemesis caught up with Azemohor when a petition was sent to the EFCC by his vi ctims who have been made to part with their hard earned monies by the institution and in turn, issued fake certificates. Investigations reveled that Global College Of Marine and Technology, Warri, now known as Coastline Seafarers Academy started in 1999 and has been running programmes like normal accredited higher institutions.      The Acting Governor of Benue State, Engineer Benson Abounu urges the police and judiciary to ensure that justice is done over the death of 13-year-old Elizabeth Ochanya Ogbaje, who died after being reportedly violated sexually. Engineer Abounu describes the act as inhuman, shameful and deserving of nothing less than appropriate punishment for the perpetrators. He says the Benue State Government will give the police necessary support towards the prosecution of the case to its conclusion, to serve as deterrent to others with similar evil tendencies. He says the mere thought of sexually molesting a minor is in itself condemnable, and stressed that those who take advantage of vulnerable persons in the society commit unpardonable sins against God and humanity.
