Tonight, members of the Royal Family attended a carol service at Westminster Abbey to recognise the selfless efforts of individuals, families and communities across the UK, and celebrate and showcase the joy that human connection and togetherness can bring.  Spearheaded by The Prince and Princess of Wales’ Royal Foundation, the service is dedicated to the late Queen Elizabeth II and the values she demonstrated throughout her life, including duty, empathy, faith, service, kindness, compassion and support for others. These principles are shared and personified by the inspirational guests who have been invited to the Abbey in recognition of their work to help and care for those around them. More photos below.

OGUN POLICE ARRESTS 49 YEARS OLD MAN WHILE BATHING WITH BL0OD.  A 49 years old man, Ganiyu Shina of No 4, Oguji street, Obantoko Abeokuta, was on Thursday, 15th of December 2022, arrested by men of Ogun state Police Command for bathing with blood at a community river in kotopo area of Odeda local government . The suspect was arrested when members of the community sighted him at the River Bank, where he parked his Nissan commercial vehicle, came out with local sponge and a container filled with bl0od and started bathing with it. Nigerian Islamic Cleric, Abduljabbar Kabara Sentenced To Death By Hanging For Blasphemy An Upper Sharia Court sitting in Kano has sentenced controversial Islamic cleric Abduljabbar Nasiru Kabara, to death by hanging.  The embattled Nigerian cleric was arrested and detained by the state government for allegedly making blasphemous statements against Prophet Muhammad. According to the charge, his statements are capable of disrupting public peace. Abduljabbar was charged on July 16, 2021, by the Kano state government before Justice Sarki Yola over alleged blasphemy and incitement. Abduljabbar Kabara is famous for his controversial religious commentaries and statements, which some Muslims have regarded as sacrilegious to Prophet Muhammad. On Thursday, the court sentenced the cleric to death by hanging. After delivering the judgement, Justice Sarki Yola gave the convict 30 days to appeal the judgment or forfeit his right to do so.

Building Material International Market Ogidi Disburses Eight Million Naira To Traders, Distribute Food Items. In the spirit of Christmas, Building Material International Market, Ogidi has disbursed the sum of eight million naira to sixteen traders in the market who are struggling in their business.  It also distributed cash, food and material items worth over five million naira to the indigent and women of the market. The disbursement and distribution exercise took place at the market premises during its annual end of year prayer. Among the Beneficiaries of the Food items are children from orphanage homes, persons living with disability, widows and street beggars. GOVERNOR UMAHI FLAGS OFF ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES AT EBONYI SHOPPING MALL, ABAKALIKI. Governor David Nweze Umahi has performed the official flag-off of economic activities at Everyday Supermarket at the newly built Shopping Mall complex in Abakaliki. COURT REMANDS 75 YEAR OLD SUNDAY MUOGHALU IN PRISON FOR DEFILING A MINOR.  A Chief Magistrate's Court sitting in Awka, Anambra State, has remanded a-75 year old man, Sunday Muoghalu in Prison custody, on an offence of child defilement of a 13 year old. Sunday Muoghalu who resides at Umuoruka village, Awka, was, today, brought before the Children, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Court, sitting in Awka, and presided over by His Worship, Genevieve Osakwe, in "a-3 count charge of defilement, carnal knowledge, emotional, verbal and psychological abuse.  Ruling on bail application by the defence Counsel to the defendant, the presiding court noted that the rate of rape and defilement of minors in the state is alarming; adding that the defendant is old enough to be the grandfather of the complainant.  The chief Magistrate went further to state that although the counsel to the defendant prayed the court to grant the defendant bail on the grounds of having acute diabetes and hypertens

Police commence investigation into rail/motor accident in Abuja  Ikko Yahuza  The Federal Capital Territory FCT, Police Command have confirmed the unfortunate incident of rail/motor fatal accident that happened at Chikakore axis in the Kubwa Area council of the FCT. This was contained in a statement signed by the Image Maker of the Command, DSP Josephine Adeh and made available to Nigeria Police Radio in Abuja.  According to the statement upon receipt of the information, Crime Scene Investigators attached to the Byazin Divisional Police Headquarters drifted swiftly to the scene, took charge of the situation. She added that the victim was confirmed dead by medical practitioner on ground.  Investigation has commenced by the Railway Division having jurisdiction over the track.  Findings and safety tips already existing will be put to proper use to ensure a non repeat of incident shshortly. Money Laundering: Kogi Gov’s Nephew Arraigned for N10bn Fraud Justice James Kolawole Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja, remanded Ali Bello, a nephew to Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello and one Dauda Sulaiman in prison pending the fulfilment of their bail conditions They were remanded upon arraignment alongside one Abdulsalami Hudu, Cashier of Kogi State House Administration (now at large) on a 10-count charge of misappropriation and money laundering Bello and Sulaiman are accused of fraudulently withdrawing a sum of N10, 270,556,800 (Ten Billion, Two Hundred and Seventy Million, Five Hundred and Fifty-six Thousand Eight Hundred Naira), from the Kogi State treasury, which they delivered to a Bureau de Change operator, Rabiu Tafada in Abuja to keep or change to foreign currencies for personal gains.    One of the charges reads: “That you, ALI BELLO, DAUDA SULEIMAN AND ABDULSALAMI HUDU (NOW AT LARGE)between January and December, 2021, in Abuja within the jurisdiction

Yahoo School Proprietor, 13 'Students' in EFCC’s Net in Benin Operatives of the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC today, December 15, 2022 arrested Ese Isaiah, proprietor of a ‘Yahoo School’, and 13 of his 'students'. The suspects are Alex Aimuanosa, Jeremiah Umoru, Destiny Aghayere, Christian Oghenekevwe, Wisdom Christopher, Daniel Matthew and Gift Patrick Others are Lucky Paul, Godspower Osatuohien, Edafe Isaiah, John Elvis, Favour Oseghale and Osas Egho They were arrested in Benin City based on intelligence on their alleged activities.  Items recovered from the suspects include mobile phones, laptops and a Lexus ES350.  They have made useful statements and will be charged to court as soon as the investigations are concluded.  More photos below.
