The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola today commissioned two 100MVA, 132/33kV Transformers in Katampe and Apo in the Federal Capital Territory. Speaking at the commissioning, the Minister said that the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has in the last 2 years grown its capacity, so that it is now able to transmit the entire 7,000MW capacity of Nigeria's Gencos. Today, TCN capacity expanded even further with commissioning of two 100MVA, 132/33kV Trans formers in Katampe and Apo in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) respectively. The installation of the two 100MVA, 132/33kV Transformers each at Apo and Katampe, will increase the total wheeling capacity of TCN, which was last simulated in December 2017, to slightly above 7,000MW.
