EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

              Seven girls said to be virgins, clad in white dresses, were involved in the spiritual cleansing rites The 25-year-old man who married his biological sister in Anambra State has undergone spiritual cleansing weeks after he renounced the controversial marriage. Chiadikobi Ezeibekwe, a mathematics teacher at a secondary school in Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, married his 17-year-old biological sister, Chibuzor Ezeibekwe. Chiadikobi Ezeibekwe had claimed he married his sister because it was a clear instruction from God. “We didn’t just jump into this marriage thing because we can do it, God showed it to me and not only me, it was shown to other people in this family. God asked me to marry my sister yes, and I didn’t propose to my sister. Sometimes you may have vision, you just keep it, and in the process she got the same vision and spoke out because if she had not had the vision, I would not have been able to speak about it.

The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to the unfortunate statement made by a former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, during the convocation ceremony of the Taraba State University on Saturday 24 March 2018 in which he categorically asserted that the Armed Forces of Nigeria was colluding with militias and ot her criminal elements and was unable to provide security for the citizens of Taraba State. He further called the people of Taraba State to take up arms and defend themselves. The   information was said to be provided by Sergeant David Bako who claimed to be deserted soldier and one of the abductee of the Dapchi School Girls. The Nigerian Army therefore put the record straight that it has crosscheck it records and cannot find any one call Sergeant David Bako who neither serves in the Army, deserted or dismissed. KEMI ADEOSUN CLARIFIES LETTER TO EFCC BOSS ON RECOVERED FUNDS TODAY.#PRESS RELEASE.

         The attention of the Honourable Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, has been drawn to media reports misrepresenting her innocuous letter to the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, on cash recoveries by the Federal Government. 2. The Minister wishes to state explicitly that the letter dated 9th February, 2018, was a standard letter aimed at improving controls over the recovered funds. 3. There is no ulterior motive behind the letter as alleged in some media reports but to enable the reconciliation and harmonisation of the figures on recovered funds by the Government. 4. EUROPEAN UNION PARTNERS NIGERIAN ARMY ON SECURITY.{PHOTOS}.

       The European Union (EU) has promised to collaborate with the Nigerian Army to tackle issues of insecurity bedevilling the country. The EU Ambassador to Nigeria, Ketil Karlsen, made the pledge in Abuja when he led members of his team on a visit to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai at the Army Headquarters Abuja. The EU Ambassador praised the Nigerian Army under the leadership of Lieutenant Genera l Buratai for excellent job in ensuring security in the country. He indicated interest of his organization to partner with the Nigerian Army in the provision of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance assets to combat Boko Haram Terrorists and other criminal gangs. NIGERIAN TROOPS ARRESTED SOME SUSPECTED CRIMINALS YESTERDAY AT TARABA STATE.{PHOTOS}.

       Troops deployed in Exercise AYEM AKPATUMA on 24 March 2018 arrested some suspected criminals at Takum, Taraba State. One of the suspects, Rapheal Yakwa was arrested while taking unauthorized and suspicious photographs in a military event. During the preliminary investigation it was revealed that he was among some youths been sponsored by certain individuals of Taraba State to cause uprisings in the area. He has also confessed  to have participated in most nefarious activities of a group, this was further proven by series of media content discovered on his mobile phone. His confession has led to the arrest of another suspect, Mr Irambariye Mamman who is said to be the youth leader as well as the leader of the group. Also apprehended is one Mr Micah Audu who also confessed to be member of the gang. Thanks for your usual cooperation.
