  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. Anambra Govt Kickstarts CBT Tests For Recruitment Of 3000 Teachers By Angela Nwanodu  The Anambra State Government had commenced the conduct of Computer-Based Tests for applicants for the 2023 teachers’ recruitment exercise. In this second batch of teachers’ recruitment going on under the present administration of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo, 3000 teachers are targeted, for Post Primary School Service Commission, (PPSSC) and the State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB). The recruitment is driven by the Commission and the Board, with technical support from the State ICT Agency. Our correspondent who visited some of the centres in Awka, reported a seamless exercise which started as early as 7am. The applicants were verified by the ICT Agency technical staff with their national identity cards and examination slip before they were allowed into the CBT hall for the examination which lasted for about 30 minutes. A man has shared how he got blocked by Okrika vendor after he advised her to return the huge amount of money she found in a bale of clothes she ordered. The man who is a US consultant for admission took to his Twitter account, @UncleCCA, to narrate how he advised her to do the right thing. According to him, she is his friend’s sister and a vendor for Okrika (thrifted) wears. In a recent bale of clothes she ordered, she found $1850, to which the Naira equivalent is around 1.5 Million Naira. He advised her to then return it as a child of God but now he can no longer see her WhatsApp status to which he asked his followers what is happening. I didn’t fake my death – Rapper Oladips Popular rapper Oladipupo Oladimeji, aka Oladips, has clarified that he did not fake his death contrary to viral reports that he pulled a death hoax to promote his new album, ‘Superhero Adugbo.’ His management had announced in a statement released via his Instagram page on November 15, 2023, that the rapper died on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. However, some of his associates, including rapper Qdot revealed on social media that Oladips was very much alive. Oladips also came forward with video evidence to prove that he was alive and well, which fuelled rumours that he faked his death to promote his new project. Reacting to the rumours via his Instagram story recently, the rapper blamed Qdot for the allegations that he faked his death, saying he rushed to announce on social media that he was alive “at a time my family was unsure of my situation.” He lamented that Qdot made it look as if they had a conversation when they had not spoken this year.
