 Shut Up If You Have Nothing To Contribute To Benue, Alia Blasts Ortom Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State, on Friday, urged his predecessors including, Chief Samuel Ortom, to refrain from interfering in his administration, warning that he would not allow anyone to  destabilise his government. Our correspondent reports that Ortom while in his speech during his 63rd birthday anniversary marked with a public lecture in Makurdi on Wednesday advised the governor to sheath sword against Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, for the sake of development of the state. But in his response to the former governor’s advice, Alia while briefing to journalists on his return from USA, Friday morning, averred that he would not allow anyone to destabilise his administration as he maintained that they have had their own term. “I can’t allow anyone whether a former governor or Civil Servant.  If you are a former governor and you have nothing to contribute to Benue,

                                                                 31 year old Nikky Hilton's 50,000 Pounds Valentino Lace gown this evening was almost ruined before the wedding could even start as she left Claridge's Hotel en route to her wedding at Kensington palace.Her couture dress had a lengthy train and was worn with a traditional lace veil,with a white bouquet.A Bently mistakenly drove on her long veil,forcing a guest to quickly help her untrap the dress before the lavish wedding could continue.Paris and their mother Kathy Hilton were dressed in almost the same shade of blue gown but different designs.She is marrying this evening to her sweet heart James Rothschild and her the bride Nikky is seen above,being escorted to the church by her father.Thank God her day was not ruined by a Bently.More photos below.

12 DEAD,3 INJURED AS AGIP'S OIL FIELD IN BAYELSA STATE,EXPLODED YESTERDAY.

                    According to sources,a total of 12 oil workers died in a pipeline explosion which occurred yesterday thursday afternoon at Agip's oil fields in Azuzuama in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area in Bayelsa.A statement issued by Mr Filipo Cotalini,a spokesman for Eni,the parent company of NAOC,today friday in Yenagoa's,said that three others were injured in the explosion at an oil spill site.''The cause of an explosion which occurred yesterday,9 July,late in the afternoon,at the site of the repair works of the Tebidaba Clough Creek line,an oil pipeline in Nigeria's onshore Niger Delta,previously damaged by acts of sabotage,was under investigation.The explosion resulted in the death of 12 member of the maintenance team of a local company of services,with three others also injured.The cause of the incident is still under investigation by both Eni and the local authorities.The company expresses its deepest condolences to the families of those involved i

A WIDOW REMI JOHNSON,IS LYING HALF DEAD IN THE HOSPITAL,AFTER BEING ATTACKED BY LASTMA OFFICIALS IN OJODU.

                                                         According to sources,a female tricycle operator in Lagos identified as Remi Johnson,is lying half dead in a hospital in Ojodu Lagos,after she was attacked by an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority,for pleading on behalf of he brother Smart Ofariko,who was arrested at Ogba Ojodu road for obstructing traffic.Investigations revealed that Ofariko was arrested by LASTMA officials for parking his tricycle {keke}at Aguda Bus Stop to receive a phone call.Ofariko explained that he called his sister Remi Johnson,when he was asked to pay N5,000 by LASTMA officials.He denied obstructing traffic,saying that he parked his tricycle at a bus stop to receive call.When his sister arrived,one of the LASTMA officials identified as Mr Raimi Odukoya attached to Ojodu zone,asked her not to intervene in the matter and allegedly pushed her and she fell down,hitting her head on the floor.She passed out and was rushed to the FRSC hospi

6 PEOPLE OUT OF 18 IN KENYA,DIED TODAY FROM LOCALLY BREWED ALCOHOL POISONED BEER.

                 According to the Governor of Kiambu,William Kabogo,said today friday that six people died of alcohol withdrawal symptoms in the hospital.The six people were among the 18 people admitted to different hospitals in the country siince wednesday.''It is unfortunate that we have lost the six,but efforts are being made to save those admitted in 14 level four five hospital.My government would issue licenses only to brewers cleared by Kenya Bureau of standardsThe fight continues and there is no room for illicit brews in Kiambu.The symptoms of withdrawal includes shaking,sweating,delusions,confusion,aggressiveness,fever,fits and convulsions.''.Earlier,Kiambu County Director for clinical services Jacob Toro said rehabilitation centres had been set up for alcohol addicts following the crackdown on low priced,high alcohol spirits.More photos below.
