                           The medical team of the Lagos State Government,presently in Saudi Arabia to cater for the health needss of Lagos pilgrims,has warned them to avoid moving around in the sun,saying it is dangerous to their health because it can affect the blood system,dry out water in the body fast,cause headache,pains,weakness and dehydration.Dr Abdul Majeeb Muhammed-Isa,leader of the team,gave the warning while answering questions from the pilgrims on how to live a healthy life while in the kingdom,adding that they should also carefully plan their movement during the day,especially while going to the Mosque,buy things from the stores or visit friends and families.He said his team is expected to provide an on the spot medical service,health talk and enlightment programme to the Lagos pilgrims,stressing that,'' It is imperative for pilgrims to carry out their activities in the morning or in the night because t...

                               Mr Anikoh Ibrahim,the State Coordinator of National Agency For Food And Drugs {NAFDAC},disclosed this today wednesday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria {NAN} in Minna.He said the action was taken during an unscheduled visit to the bakery.Ibrahim said that the agency would continue to sensitise master bakers in the state on the danger of using substances like that for edibles.He said ''We have started inspection and sensitization visits to bakeries in Niger State,particularly those in the rural areas.When consumers see such bread in the market,they will be attracted to buy it because it is swollen owing to the patassium bromide content.Bromide causes cancer.So,we tell producers not to include it in the process of making food or edibles.Such substances are not good for our body''.He further said that the closed bakery would be reopened for business after the payment...

                   The Queen of England,has sent a message of condolence today to the President of Italy,Sergio Mattarella,following the earthquake in central Italy.The Queen message reads ''Prince Philip and I were saddened to hear of the loss of life following the earthquake in central Italy.Our thoughts and prayer are with the people of Italy,especially the family and friends of those affected.                        I just received an information from one of my blog fan and also a resident of Ikorodu town in Lagos state.She said i should inform the public to ''Please be warned that as from tuesday the 23rd to friday 26th from 11pm till 5am,movement will be restricted in Ikorodu due to their Eluku festival.Only Ikorodu indigines are allowed to behold this Eluku not every male like that of Oro,please spread this information FAR and WIDE''.

                  According to PM news,a welder was killed in his workshop today wednesday in Damaturu,Yobe state when an explosion went off.Three persons including an army officer were injured in the explosion.Investigation revealed that the explosion occurred when an army approached a welding shop to repair an equipment belonging to the military.The welder,it was gathered,brought out his equipment to state work and it exploded killing him instantly while the soldier was seriously wounded.More information later.

                 Rescue operations for survivors continue in central Italy after a 6.2 magnitude earthquake left 68 dead and 150 missing,with the number of dead expected to rise according to BBC.Strong earthquakes struck a mountainous stretch of central Italy early today wednesday,setting off tremors that awakened residents in Rome,nearly 100 miles to the southwest according to reports.A village was leveled to the ground and some of the worst damage felt in the town of Amatrice.Amatrice mayor Sergio Pirozzi told pressmen that ''The roads in and out of town are cut off..Half the town is gone.There are people under the rubble.There's been a landslide and a bridge might collapse''.My heart goes out to them all.{Tears}.More photos below.
