EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

            31 year old Amber Rose,really exposed enough cleavage during the premiere of her new movie SISTER CODE,which was held yesterday thursday at the AMC Universal City wall Theatre.Amber Rose plays the role of Lexi in the new romantic comedy,along stars like Eva Marcille and Drew Sidora as one of the three foster sisters,who lose their mother in the film and fight to pursue their dreams.The film hits US Theatres on Saturday and that makes for an exciting new direction for Amber Rose career as an actress.Amber Rose is said to be currently be dating after filing for divorce from her husband Wiz Khalifa,whom she has a son Sebastian Taylor Thomaz with.Speaking of her dating life,Amber recently confessed that she is trying but repeatedly finds out that men are intimidated by her.She said ''I waited a long time for my husband to come home and he didn't.I swear on my child,no one tries to get with me.When men meet me they're very intimidated by me''.More photos

A BUSINESS MAN HENRY DIMOJI,CRUSHED TO DEATH BY A DIESEL TANKER AT MILE 2,AFTER POLICE MOUNTED AN ILLEGAL CHECK-POINT.

                       A sad report just got to my news desk today,on how a 48 year old business man Henry Dimoji,who resides around Anthony village in Lagos state,but hails from Imo state,was crushed to death by a diesel tanker.Henry Dimoji was returning from a wake-keeping with his wife in Festac town area in a Honda car,only to be stopped by some policemen attached to the Rapid Response Squad,Ikeja,mounted an illegal checkpoint at Mile 2 end of Oshodi Apapa Expressway,conducting unapproved stop and search,stop Henry Dimoji and his wife Linda.The policemen refused to allow Henry Dimoji to park properly by the road side,insisting that he must come down to open his booth for search.So he came down and an oncoming tanker,said to be carrying diesel,hit Henry Dimoji and dragged him on the road.The policemen were said to have avoided the tanker.It was gathered that the matter which occured at about 7:30pm last week thursday April 30,was transffered to the State Criminal Investigation Depar

A BOKO HARAM MEMBER,SHOT 6 STUDENTS IN A HIGH SCHOOL IN POTISKUM.

                Today friday,it was reported that a gunman opened fire on students after walking into a high school in Potiskum in north east Nigeria,critically injuring six people.The gunman was accompanied by another attacker also suspected to be a Boko Haram member.Eyewitness,Musa Ahmed,a student at the College of Administration and Business sturdies said ''We came out from lectures when we saw two people at the gate,he brought out a gun and started shooting.The sucide bomber detonated the bomb killing himself alone but six of the students were shot by the man with the gun.

BANKS IN DUBAI ARE ORDERED TO CLOSE DOWN,NIGERIAN CITIZEN'S BANK ACCOUNTS,TO COMBAT MONEY LAUNDERING.

          According to sources who spoke to a top official of the Dubai Financial services Authority,DFSA,explained that the move is a fall out of the country's new Central Bank Laws,prohibiting Nigerians not working in the UAE from possessing accounts in any local or foreign banks.With the new monetary laws by the Emirate apex bank,all accounts of Nigerians that are not linked to work in the UAE have been closed and cheques issued in favour of the customers cashable in five working days.Investigations revealed that politicians who have stashed away huge sums of money in Dubai and other locations in the UAE are already panicking over the fate of their money and are moving to safeguard their finances.The government source said ''I's going to be a huge scandal for politicians and businessmen who go to Dubai to hide their money.And if really they are closing non salary accounts of Nigerians in Dubai,we are going to see something we have never seen before,scandals''
