 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country. UNKNOWN GUNMEN ATTACKS ASSEMBLIES OF GOD CHURCH IN ONITISHA ANAMBRA STATE TODAY,KILLING MANY PEOPLE.{READ}.

                 Gunmen suspected to be armed robbers have shot and killed a police officer guarding Assemblies of God Church on the Oguta road Onitsha, Anambra State. One person identified as an okada rider was also killed by the robbers, while a passenger said to be on the victim’s bike sustained gunshot wound and has been rushed to the hospital. This incident is coming seven days after gunmen attacked St Philip’s Catholic Church, Ozubulu and killed no fewer than 13 persons and injured 27.                According to Vanguard who is reporting today that '' The Nigeria Police Force says it has detained and tried two of its personnel in orderly room who had escorted popular musician, Davido, for alleged reckless shooting in Lagos.   A video in circulation on social media showed two policemen allegedly shooting into the air on the street in a moving vehicle in Lagos. AMBODE APPROVES PHASE 2 OF CODE-LAGOS TODAY+TO LAUNCH 300 NEW CODING CENTRES NEXT MONTH.

                 Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the implementation of the second phase of the CodeLagos Project, which will be launched in September 2017. The approval is coming on the heels of the successful implementation of the pilot phase of the project which has trained 5,464 students of primary and secondary schools across the State. Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Mr. Obafela Bank-Olemoh in a statement on Sunday, said that 65 schools including government and private schools took part in the pilot phase.              According to sources, After the bloody massacre on the St Philip's Catholic Church Ozubulu last week sunday (precisely on the 6th August), the church is however open for worship this coming sunday. Recall that last week sunday, a lone gun man gained entry into the church auditorium of the church and opened fire on the worshippers killing over 13 of them.More photos below.
