 Fuel scarcity bites harder in Abuja, Ondo, Osun, others • Independent marketers sell PMS between N625 and N799 per litre There is no succour yet for motorists and other petrol end users despite the Thursday statement by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) that it had resolved the logistic problems that sparked the supply crisis. Reports from across the country yesterday showed that many filling stations had no fuel to sell. Some sold over and above the threshold of N650 per litre while motorists and other buyers besieged the few ones that sold within the range of N600 per litre. While many petrol stations in Lagos sold fuel at the normal price and queues were not noticeable, it was a different story in the industrial town of Ota, Ogun State where some filling stations hiked their pump price to N799 per litre. Boko Haram Invade Catholic Church In Katsina, Kidnap Two Priest, Others.  Fr Emmanuel requests for Prayers Boko Haram have kidnapped two priests at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Gidan Maikambo, in Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State. It was gathered that the gunmen broke into the rectory in the early hours of Wednesday May 25, and whisked away the parish priest Rev. Fr. Oliver Okpara, his assistant, Rev. Fr. Stephen Ojapa and two boys.  St. Patrick's Catholic Church is one of the parishes presided over by the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Matthew Hassan-Kukah. Sokoto Diocese covers Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto and Kebbi States. The Director, Social Communications of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Rev. Soludo Imposes Curfew On Eight Local Government Areas In Anambra State Governor Soludo has imposed a 6pm to 6am curfew for commercial motorcycle riders, shuttle buses and tricycle riders in eight local government areas of Anambra State from Monday, 30th May, 2022. Governor Soludo who was speaking while addressing a live broadcast from the Governor's Lodge, Amawbia, said that security is foundational in the efforts of his administration to enthrone a liveable and prosperous homeland. The local government areas include Aguata, Ihiala, Ekwusigo, Nnewi North and South, Ogbaru and Orumba North and South. Governor Soludo who stressed that the directive will be reviewed in a fortnight, ordered security officials to begin immediate enforcement of the directive. Court Jails Two Internet Fraudsters in Benin Two internet fraudsters, Favour Aigbido and Obehi Oamen Kingsley were on Wednesday May 25, 2022, convicted and sentenced to prison by Justice Efe Ikponmwonba of the Edo State High Court sitting in Benin City. The duo were arraigned by the Benin Zonal Command of the Commission on a separate one count charge of fraudulent impersonation. Aigbido falsely represented himself as Ahmad Michael, a Bitcoin miner, while Kingsley impersonated the identity of Chen Dale, a Japanese Engineer, to defraud unsuspecting victims. President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele from his job, according to Intel region. It was revealed that he may have been sacked in the early hours of Wednesday May 25. His sack may not be unconnected to his ambition to succeed Buhari at the end of his tenure in 2023.
