 Noise pollution: Lagos seals five churches, 19 hotels The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has temporarily shut down no fewer than five churches and 19 hotels over noise pollution between March 23 and April 26  Calculations by our correspondent also showed that no fewer than four markets and shopping complexes were also shut down over noise pollution and other environmental infractions. ZAMBIA POLICE BANS OFFICERS TODAY FROM MARRYING FOREIGNERS.{READ}.

               According to sources,Police authorities in Zambia said today monday that they had banned officers from marrying foreigners.The Head of the Zambia Police,Kakomo Kanganja,issued a memo advising officers against marrying foreigners ''with immediate effect''.The police chief advised officers,who were already married to foreigners to declare their foreign spouses to his office within one week.''Failure to declare any foreigner spouse will attract disciplinary action,'' he said.Esther Katongo,the Police Spokesperson,had defended the decision which had already received a backlash as unconstitutional.According to Katongo,the Zambia Police Act 103 Section 3 and 5 covers the standing orders on marriages.''Issues of security are delicate.If not careful,spouses can be spies and can sell the security of the country,'' She said.She added that the law had always been there and that the police had decided to enforce it because officers wer

LAGOS STATE TASK FORCE ARRESTS A FAKE JOURNALIST TODAY POSING TO BE WORKING WITH ''TVC''.{READ}.

                       The operatives of the Lagos State Task Force have arrested a man who impersonated a journalist with the TV Continental {TVC},a media outfit located around Magodo Shangisha. Speaking on the arrest,the Chairman of the Agency SP Olayinka Egbeyemi disclosed that the suspect was arrested during an enforcement operation carried out around Maryland and its environs where 67 miscreants and hoodlums were arrested and traders selling goods at unauthorised places were dislodged.The Chairman stated that the suspect,Mr Soji Gboye,36yrs,of 5,Adesoye Street,Mende,who claimed to be a TVC correspondent,was arrested while obstructing the personnel of the Agency from performing their legitimate duty in the area.His claim was debunked when SP Egbeyemi contacted the management of TVC to verify his claim only to be told the individual is unknown to the organisation.Mr Gboye later confessed that he never worked with the media outfit and that he was not a journalist.He said that it is o
