DRAMA AS MOHBAD'S EIFE FINALLY GETS SERVED DNA COURT ORDER ON HER HOUSE GATE. (PHOTO).

 Drama as Mohbad’s wife finally gets served DNA court order on her house gate Omowunmi, the wife of the late singer, Mohbad has been finally served the court order for a DNA test. It was reported that the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ikorodu had granted the order that Omowunmi needed to be served a notice of the pending DNA test application. The legal team told the court that the Sheriff of the court had attempted twice to serve Wunmi the court process but failed and the Chief Magistrate then ordered that Wunmi should be served by posting the court process on her last known address. In an update to it, the court order has been finally delivered to her. The court order letter was pasted on the mother of one’s house gate.

10 JAILED FOR INTERNET FRAUD IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS).#PRESS RELEASE

10 Jailed for Internet Fraud in Abuja The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abuja Zonal Command, on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, secured the conviction of 10 internet fraudsters before Justice H. Muazu of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama Abuja. The defendants are Dominic Likwa, Wisdom Ndubuisi, Sheidu Abdulqudus, Samson Chukwudi Ohanwe and Mohammed Kamal. Others are Abdulsamad Yusuf, Okoebor Chavis Odianosen, Tochukwu Ezema Trust, Chinedu Chukwuma and Timothy Oluwafemi. They pleaded guilty to the charges preferred against them. In view of their pleas, Justice Muazu convicted and sentenced Sheidu, Ohanwe, Kamal, Yusuf, Okoebor and Chinedu to 12 months in prison or a fine of N200, 000 each. Tochukwu and Oluwafemi both bagged 9 months jail term or a fine of N100, 000 each, while Likwa is to spend 9months in jail or pay a fine of N50, 000. In addition, the convicts are to swear to an affidavit to be of good behaviour. More photos below.

 EFCC Secures Conviction of Three for Internet Fraud in Kaduna The Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has secured the conviction of the trio of Philemon Moses Cobons (aka Greg Young), Blessed Zugwai Adamu (aka James Smith) and Adajinewa Anaiah (aka Goddes Lex) before Justice A.A Isiaka of the Kaduna State High Court on one count charge each bordering on cybercrime.  The convicts were arrested at different hideouts around Kaduna metropolis for alleged involvement in cybercrime. The investigation revealed that they assumed different identities to lure unsuspecting persons into phony social relationships with a view to defrauding them.  They pleaded guilty to the charges brought against them. The prosecuting counsel, E.K Garba and M.U Gadaka prayed the court to convict them accordingly. Justice Isiaka convicted and sentenced Adamu and Anaiah to 2 years imprisonment while Cobons was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment. The defendants were offered the option

41 African Countries Sign Military Agreements With Russia Russia has signed agreements for military cooperation with over 40 African countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Friday in St Petersburg. Putin made the announcement during the second and final day of the second Russia-Africa Summit, saying “We are developing partnerships in military and military-technical cooperation with more than 40 African states to strengthen the defence capabilities of the countries." “African states received a wide range of weapons and technology, some for free. Some of these deliveries are provided on a gratuitous basis with the aim of enhancing the security and sovereignty of the countries.” Putin also announced that Russia would provide assistance to the countries in their efforts to free themselves from the “vestiges of colonialism.” More photos below.

 Ghanaian PhD student reportedly loses scholarship in the US after attack on LGBTQ community A Ghanaian student in the United States of America has had his scholarship withdrawn following his involvement in hateful attacks against LGBT Ghanaians on Twitter. Ghanaian LGBT activist known as Papa Kojo exposed the attacks after receiving a threat from one, Derrick Boadi Sakyi, who had just started a PhD program in Biological Science at Ohio University in the United States under a scholarship. According to reports, the scholarship was meant for LGBTQIA+ community members, applicants from the Global South, first-generation students, and people with disabilities. Upon realising that Derrick was a student, Kojo wrote to the university to expose the attack he received from Sakyi attaching other abusive and hateful posts he had made against the LGBT community in Ghana. China to limit teenagers' smartphone use to a maximum of two hours a day in bid to prevent addiction to mobiles China's internet regulator have announced plans to crack down on how much time teenagers are allowed to spend on their phones, limiting screen time to a maximum of just two hours a day. The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) said it wanted to mandate so-called 'minor mode programmes' for smart devices that would ban users under-18 from accessing the internet between 10pm to 6am. The CAC also said that the programmes would give users aged 16 to 18 two hours of screen time a day, while users under 16 would get just one hour per day. Court Sends Eight Internet Fraudsters to Prison in Benin ... Orders Return of Recovered €7,040 to German Victim Kennedy Irabor Osasogie, 21-year-old internet fraudster and seven others were on Thursday, August 3, 2023 convicted and sentenced to prison by Justice M.Itsueli of the Edo State High Court sitting in Benin City.   The others are Emmanuel Kayode Luma, Oneh Endurance, Yadina Chukwudi, Amalawa Kingsley, Lucky Junior Atailegbe, Aikorogie Osarenmwinda and Kelvin Amenze. Osasogie was arrested following a petition by Antje Kdla, a German citizen, who alleged that the defendant defrauded her of huge sums of money. Investigations by operatives of the Commission found the defendant culpable of the offence. The seven other defendants were arrested following intelligence on their nefarious activities. In his efforts to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal, which has led to the rising cost of transportation in the entire nation, Governor Dapo Abiodun made a promise to provide electric-powered motorbikes for those who relied solely on this means of transport.  While at the Republic of Benin yesterday, the governor had a test drive of some of the motorbikes that his administration will soon distribute to deserving transporters and members of the society, as a way of easing the financial pressure orchestrated by the increase in fuel price. Air passenger arrested for stealing N1m onboard  A man identified as Vitalis Nwabuzor was was caught stealing another passenger's bag in Port Harcourt. Air Peace on Wednesday said a passenger on board one of its flights allegedly stole N1m from another passenger’s bag but was caught. The airline’s spokesperson, Stanley Olisa, said in a statement in Lagos that the incident took place onboard Abuja-Port Harcourt flight P47192 on July 27. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that there have been reported cases of theft onboard aircraft involving different airlines operating in the country in recent times. Olisa said the suspect stole the amount contained in a brown envelope but was caught by the owner of the money, with the intervention of the airline’s staff. He explained that during the flight, the suspect took another passenger’s computer bag from the overhead cabin. “He, thereafter, took the brown envelope containing the money, put the computer bag in another luggage compartment and
