  Saudi Arabia Confirms Sunday For Eid Al-Fitr Celebrations The moon sighting in Saudi Arabia is currently underway to mark the beginning of Eid al-Fitr. The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has called upon citizens to sight the crescent moon today, March 29, 2025, which corresponds to the 29th day of Ramadan 1446 AH Ā¹. If the moon is sighted, Eid al-Fitr celebrations will commence on Sunday, March 30, 2025. Otherwise, the celebrations will begin on Monday, March 31, 2025. The Royal Court of Saudi Arabia typically makes the official announcement after sunset, based on reports from the Kingdom's observatories Ā¹. In Saudi Arabia, the moon sighting process involves local residents reporting to the nearest court if they spot the crescent moon. The Supreme Court then confirms the sighting and announces the start of Eid al-Fitr Ā¹.

  Disney is laying off 28,000 U.S.-based employees across its Parks, Experiences and Products division due to continued struggles caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the company announced in a statement on Tuesday. Disney Chairman Josh D'Amaro said in the statement in part: "In light of the prolonged impact of COVID-19 on our business, including limited capacity due to physical distancing requirements and the continued uncertainty regarding the duration of the pandemic ā€“ exacerbated in California by the Stateā€™s unwillingness to lift restrictions that would allow Disneyland to reopen ā€“ we have made the very difficult decision to begin the process of reducing our workforce at our Parks, Experiences and Products segment at all levels, having kept non-working Cast Members on furlough since April, while paying healthcare benefits.   The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall today visited Northern Ireland to thank individuals who have gone the extra mile during the pandemic. At the Ulster Museum in Belfast, Their Royal Highnesses met nursing and midwifery graduates who completed their courses early to help respond to the pandemic. The Prince and The Duchess also toured the Florence Nightingale exhibition - this year marks the 200th anniversary of Nightingaleā€™s birth. In Co. Antrim, The Prince of Wales visited Henderson Foods, who have been distributing food and grocery-related products for over 100 years. During the pandemic, its staff worked to meet unprecedented demand to keep supermarket shelves stocked.
