 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES  President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor as the Director-General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA). The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. The President expects that the new heads of these important agencies will discharge their duties with utmost fidelity to the nation and unfailing adherence to the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and excellent service to the people of Nigeria.                Police in Ghana said yesterday saturday that they had tracked down and arrested the partner of a British actress whose body was found dead in the garden of her London home this week along with those of their two young sons.Arthur Simpson-Kent is wanted in connection with the murder of Sian Blake,a former actress in the popular soap opera EastEnders,and the two boys, zachary and Amon.The family had been reportedly missing in mid-December.According to a police spokesman in Ghana he said ''The suspect has been arrested by police and i can confirm his identity.He was at a hideout in in Weatern Region.With the kind of collaboration between the police and the public that we have,we maanaged to nab him there''.A spokesman for interpol in Ghana said the suspect was being driven back from the port city of Takoradi to the capital Accra and would arrive late on saturday.In a statement released in London,Scotland Yard police said tthey had been made aware of an arres

                       According to sources,two men identified as Benedict Ola Idega and Abdulsalami H.,claimed to be president Muhammadu Buhari's private security aides and attempted to take advantage of a current panel of  inquiry that involves the governor of Ekiti state Ayodele Fayose.They were were arrested at the Afao-Ekiti country home of Fayose for presnting themselves as staff of the Ofiice of the National Security Adviser {ONSA},with influence over the report of the military panel set up to investigate  the alleged involvement in partisan politics by some soldiers and officers during the 2014/2015 gubernatorial election conducted in some states such as Ekiti,Osun,Rivers and Akwa-Ibom.The military is currently looking into the alleged involvement of some of its men in the alleged malpractices that happened in the election that brought in fayose for a second time as governor of Ekiti state,a situation Fayose and his supporters believe is a ploy by the government in power to

A CHINESE MAN WAS RESCUED YESTERDAY FROM A COLD RIVER,IN ATTEMPT TO COMMIT SUICIDE.

                       According CCTV,employees at a seafood restaurant in Kunshan city in eastern China's Jiansu Province rescued an elderly man who attempted suicide by jumping into a freezing river yesterday saturday morning.Surveillance camera footage from the restaurant showed the man climbing over the stone railing and falling into a river.The restaurant's cooks at one rushed to provide first aid,with one of them jumping into the river.One more photo below.

A STAFF OF ONDO STATE COLLEGE,WAS FOUND DEAD & DECOMPOSED IN HER ROOM OVER THE WEEKEND.

                      This weekend,a staff of Adeyemi College of Education {ACE} in Ondo west local government area of Ondo state,Miss Evelyn Ajagun has been reportedly found dead in her apartment at Palmgroove street,Oka in Ondo town.Sources told pressmen that the middle age woman,whose remains was discovered at the weekend by her neighbours was already decomposed.It was learnt that Evelyn's neighbours were forced to open her door when a strange odour was traced to her apartment.one of the College's students,who is a neighbour to the deceased but who spoke under anonymity said the last time they saw Evelyn was last tuesday.She noted that the circumstances surrounding her death still remained a misery to them.But the DPO in charge of Enu Owa Division in Ondo,CSP Adekunle Omisakin said preliminary investigation revealed that Evelyn was probably sick,locked up herself until she died having had nobody to attend to her.He said the unfortunate incident happened because Evelyn's
