 BAUCHI STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE OPERATION VELVET: POLICE ARREST TWO FOR ASSAULT AND OBSTRUCTION OF OFFICERS ON LAWFUL DUTY IN BAUCHI The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two suspects for criminal conspiracy, obstruction of public officers on duty, assault, and malicious damage. On 3rd October, 2026, at about 0900hrs, operatives attached to the 'E' Division Patrol Team, while on routine enforcement of Operation Velvet along Yelwa Road, Bauchi, intercepted a vehicle driven by one Friday (surname yet to be ascertained) and one Yunana Ali, and politely requested to see the vehicle particulars. Rather than comply with lawful directives, the duo allegedly became hostile, refused to present the documents, and resorted to physically assaulting the patrol team, in the process tearing the uniform of an Inspector of Police.                   8 fishermen were locked in a company graveyard cage in Benjina.The fishermen after they were discovered by security agency in Thailand said to the police that they were beaten,kicked and whipped with stingray tails and given Taser like electric shocks.Some people said they fell ill and were not given medicine others said they had been promised jobs in Thailand but were instead issued fake seafarer documents and taken to Indonesia,where they were made to work 20 to 22 hours days with no time off for little or Zero pay.Their catch is then shipped back to Thailand,where it enters global markets.This is modern day slavery.One more photo below.                                                                                   ...

INEC COMMISSIONER IN KANO STATE,AND HIS FAMILY,DIED IN A FIRE YESTERDAY THURSDAY.

                 According to sources,the commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in Kano state Alhaji Abudullah Minkaila died along with his wife and two daughters at a Kano hospital after suffering severe burns from a mysterious fire that gutted his residence at the farm centre axis,within Kano metropolis yesterday thursday night.Kano Police Commands Public Relations Officer ASP Magaji Musa Majia said ''It is really very tragic and the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.They were suffocated to death {Mr Abdullahi,his wife and his two daughter}.No one can tell for now what really happened,but we have launched full investigation into the matter.A i am speaking with you,i am right here in the hospital with the Commissioner of Police,and we will keep you informed as we begin to unravel the mystery behind this tragic accident''.
