 AU urges de-escalation as fighting displaces over 180,000 in South Sudan’s Jonglei state The Chairperson of the African Union Commission called for immediate de-escalation and strict adherence to South Sudan’s 2018 peace agreement, as renewed fighting in Jonglei State displaced more than 180,000 people and raised fears of further civilian harm. In a statement, African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf said he was deeply concerned by the deteriorating security situation in parts of the country, particularly Jonglei, where escalating violence and inflammatory rhetoric have put civilians—including women and children—at heightened risk. South Sudanese authorities estimate the number of displaced in Jonglei at more than 180,000, the United Nations humanitarian agency OCHA said last week. 8 FISHERMEN,WERE RESCUED FROM A COMPANY GRAVEYARD CAGE IN INDONESIA.

                  8 fishermen were locked in a company graveyard cage in Benjina.The fishermen after they were discovered by security agency in Thailand said to the police that they were beaten,kicked and whipped with stingray tails and given Taser like electric shocks.Some people said they fell ill and were not given medicine others said they had been promised jobs in Thailand but were instead issued fake seafarer documents and taken to Indonesia,where they were made to work 20 to 22 hours days with no time off for little or Zero pay.Their catch is then shipped back to Thailand,where it enters global markets.This is modern day slavery.One more photo below.                                                                                   ...

INEC COMMISSIONER IN KANO STATE,AND HIS FAMILY,DIED IN A FIRE YESTERDAY THURSDAY.

                 According to sources,the commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in Kano state Alhaji Abudullah Minkaila died along with his wife and two daughters at a Kano hospital after suffering severe burns from a mysterious fire that gutted his residence at the farm centre axis,within Kano metropolis yesterday thursday night.Kano Police Commands Public Relations Officer ASP Magaji Musa Majia said ''It is really very tragic and the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.They were suffocated to death {Mr Abdullahi,his wife and his two daughter}.No one can tell for now what really happened,but we have launched full investigation into the matter.A i am speaking with you,i am right here in the hospital with the Commissioner of Police,and we will keep you informed as we begin to unravel the mystery behind this tragic accident''.
