 BENUE TASKFORCE NABS THREE FOR N350,000 'MARCHING GROUND' EXTORTION 29th March, 2025      The Taskforce on Illegal Levies and Criminal Activities in Makurdi has arrested three suspected gang members for extorting money from a borehole drilling operation in the Nyoogyungu area of Makurdi, Benue State. The suspects, identified as Anyakpa Aondoaver, Sende Stephen, and Akaahan Terna, were reportedly caught on CCTV demanding N350,000 as an illegal “Marching Ground” levy from a drilling team. Acting on a distress call, the task force swiftly intervened and apprehended the suspects, handing them over to the Police Area Command in Makurdi for prosecution. Parading the suspects, the Senior Special Assistant, SSA, to Governor Hyacinth Alia on Youth Organization and Illegal Levies, Hon. Gbenda Terver, warned youths against engaging in criminal activities that hinder the state’s development. He added that the government remains committed to eradicating illegal levies and urged ...

 It’s another Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards,AMVCAs, the event took place at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island. Nollywood actress, Osas Ighodaro, has received recognition as the Best Dressed Female in the ongoing 2022 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. Her fellow Nollywood star and model, Denola Grey, won the male category of the Best Dressed award. Ighodaro stormed the red carpet in a silver and gold lace dress while Denola Grey thrilled the attendees with his three-piece beaded suit. Being the 8th edition of the award show, and not to bore you with long gist because my blog like to focus on the fashion. Though I was at a Charity ball but I was watching live on my phone.
