 Fubara faults ex-Rivers HoS over claims of sponsoring assembly bombing, others Suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has dismissed claims of sponsoring attacks on oil pipelines and other assets in the state levelled against him by former Head of the state civil service, Dr. George Nwaeke. In a Friday news briefing, Nwaeke claimed that Fubara ordered the bombing of the state House of Assembly complex in 2023 to prevent his impeachment by lawmakers loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike. He alleged that Fubara gave a bag of money to his Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie to facilitate the Assembly’s bombing. The ex-HoS further alleged that similar attempt was made to destroy the residential quarters of the House of Assembly members but was thwarted by a press conference held by Rivers youths, elders, and National Assembly members.                                   Troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE during investigation of arrested suspected Boko Haram terrorists discovered one of the abducted Chibok School girls,Rakiya Abubkar,with her six months old baby.According to preliminary investigation,it was discovered she is the daughter of Abubakar Gali Mulima and Habiba Abubakar of Chibok.She further stated that she was a student of Senior Secondary School Class 3B {SS 3B},before her abduction along with her colleagues on 14th April Twenty fourteen by the Boko Haram terrorists.Rakiya Abubakar is presently undergoing further medical investigation and would soon be released to the Borno State Government.
