 Abuja Court Jails Two Internet Fraudsters The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abuja Zonal Command, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 secured the conviction and sentence of two internet fraudsters to various jail terms. The convicts, Adeleye Olanrewaju and Ayo Olaosebiomo were convicted by Justice I. Mohammed of the Federal Capital Territory,  FCT,  High Court Gwagwalada on a one- count charge each. The lone- count charge against Olanrewaju  reads: ‘that you Adeleye Olanrewaju sometime in 2024 within the jurisdiction of this Honourable court committed the offence of cheating by personation when you pretended to be one Lolita Gonzale293 female American citizen when you created a fake Instagram account for love scam and benefitted the sum of $460 (Four Hundred and Sixty United States Dollars) from your victim John Alonzo and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 321 and punishable under Section 324 of the Penal Code Act, Laws of the Federation, 2004”.   They both

                      According to sources,the Buhari Media Support Group {BMSG} has said that the anti corruption war waged by President Muhammadu Buhari is yielding success which has led to the delisting of the country from the list of corrupt countries as compiled by Transparency International {IT}.In a press statement signed by the group's national coordinator,Muhammad Labbo and the secretary,Cassidy Madueke yesterday wednesday in Abuja,the group said that the campaign is gradually chsnging the image of the country to one where corrupt acts are no longer welcomed.The group added that in the latest ranking of corrupt countries in the world over by TI,the name of Nigeria is conspiciously missing.According to the BMSG,the anti-corruption war of the president,despite the cynicism of partakers in the ruinous looting of the country,is having the desired impact,nationally and internationally and has unmasked the true colour of many prominent persons and wealthy individuals in Nigeria.

NLC TO HOLD A NATION-WIDE STRIKE ON MONDAY IN ABUJA,TO KICK AGAINST THE 45% INCREASE IN ELECTRICITY TARRIFS.

THE NIGERIAN CIVIL AVIATION,SUSPENDED A BRISTOW HELICOPTER TYPE,FROM FURTHER OPERATION IN NIGERIA.

                    The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority,NCAA, yesterday suspended Britstow Helicopter's aircraft type SikorskyS-76C++ from further operations in Nigeria due to the successive mishap of the said aircraft type on the coastal waters of Lagos.Disclosing this development to aviation reporters at the NCAA Annex,Murtala Muhammed International Airport{MMIA},Lagos,Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviatiob Authority {NCAA},Captain Muhtar Usman affirmed that the aircraft type had been suspended till further notice pending when the authority will carry out a full audit on it.Usman said ''These decisions are without prejudice to the investigations being conducted by the Accident Investigation Bureau {AIB}.As a matter off fact,it will serve to assist the entire process.The Authority will fully support AIB in the investigation.The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority {NCAA} has therefore decided to suspend the operation of the Bristow Helicopters SikorskyS-76C++ type

                         Yesterday wednesday,The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service,NIS,Mr. Martin Kure Abeshi,disclosed that six British citizens have been deported from Nigeria.He made this disclosure yesterday to newsmen at the National Assembly while attending a meeting with the House of Representatives Committee on Interior to defend the 2016 budget estimate of the agency.The NIS boss stated that the deportees were discovered to have been rsiding in Nigeria illegally.Abeshi said ''When we conduct our operation and discover that someone who is not a Nigerian is living in this country illegally,he will be repatriated.That is on our own part,they have to go.I just arrived fro abroad on monday and met this case.As i am talking,the company that employed thos expatriates,after my discussion with them,are to be responsible for their air ticket.If that expatriate commits any offence against the company and they want to remove him,that company must provide ticke
