  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. A BRITISH COUPLE WAS RECENTLY CONVICTED,AFTER THEY HELD A NIGERIAN CAPTIVE FOR 24 YEARS IN BRITAIN.

                 A British couple was found guilty on tuesday of keeping a Nigerian immigrant enslaved for more than two decades,forcing him to work for no pay and threatening him with deportation if he tried to escape.The British couple is identified as 61 year old  Emanuel Edet and 58 year old Antan Edet held their victim captive from the time he was brought to Britain when he was 14 years old,said the Crow Prosecution Service.The husband and wife were convicted at Harrow Crown court in northwest London on charges of child cruelty,slavery and assisting in illegal immigration.They had told the teen when they broughtt him from Nigeria in 1989 that they would pay him and provide him with an education.Instead the victim now 40,was forced to cook,clean,garden and care for the couple's children without any pay for up to 17 hours a day.He was forced to eat alone and typically slept on hallway floors.He got no education and had only very limited contact with his family and the outside wo

105 NIGERIAN SOLDIERS OUT OF 157 BATTALION ,MISSING IN BORNO STATE

                   Today thursday,it was reported by Premuim Times at least 105 soldiers of the 157 Battalion,including their commanding officer,are feared missing after they came under intense attack from Boko Haram insurgents at Gudunbali,Borno state,yesterday wednesday.According to one of Premuim Times sources,the terrorists also captured a T-72 tank as well as several artillery weapons from the unit.''Gudunbali was attacked this morning and some weapons were captured from the battalion.Two officers and 105 soldiers are still missing.They captured a T-72 tank from the unit and some artillery weapons were also captured.The commanding Officer {CO} of the battalion is yet to be seen but no one has been confirmed dead yet''.One more photo below.                                               

TURKEY DETAINED 8 SUSPECTED ISIS GROUP MEMBERS FROM MOROCCO,AND DEPORTED SOME OF THEM TODAY.

             Today thursday it was reported that 8 Moroccans were detained at Istanbul's main airport over suspected links to Islamic State and warned of a growing potential threat from Jihadists in Africa.The eight who said they had arrived at Ataturk airport on tuesday night from Casablanca for a holiday,were detained by border police and questioned by profiling experts who flagged them as suspected militants.At least two of the attackers in the suicide bombings and shootings that killed 129 people in Paris last Friday are thought to have passed through Turkey.Concerning the eight Moroccans detained in Turkey,some have already been deported while others are still being questioned but will be sent home soon.A Turkish media reports said the group had planned to travel by land to German disgised as refugees,but officials said they could not confirm this information.One more photo below.                                                                                                  

CHAD EXTEND'S IT'S STATE OF EMERGENCY TO MARCH NEXT YEAR,TO CURB BOKO HARAM ISSUES.

                 Today thursday,it was reported that Chad's national assembly extended a state of emergency in the western Lake Chad region by four months on Wednesday following a double attack by Boko Haram militants that killed some 12 people.A ruling party deputy told pressman that ''The state of emergency is prolonged by 147 unanimous votes by the parliament for four months.That is to say it will end March 22''.The initial emergency was authorized on November 9 and was  set to last 12 days.The government wanted a six month extension but deputies opposite.

ARMED ROBBERS STORMED A COMMERCIAL BANK IN AGBARA OGUN STATE AND KILLED MANY PEOPLE TODAY.

              Today thursday around 8:am,armed robbers stormed a commercial in Agbara,Ogunstate.It was learnt that First bank,Zenith bank,Guarantee Trust bank,Union bank and First City Monument bank,as well as United Bank of Africa {UBA} are located in the area.Pressmen said the armed robbers left the peaceful estate in a pool of peoples blood,while employees of companies such as Nestle food,Beta Glass,Reckitt Benckiser and Lotus plastic scampered to safety.A source said ''They arrived the area at about 8:30 am and started operating in some of the popular banks.They were seriously robbing and killing people.They were just shooting any how.So many people on the ground bleeding''.One more photo below.
