 Fuel scarcity bites harder in Abuja, Ondo, Osun, others • Independent marketers sell PMS between N625 and N799 per litre There is no succour yet for motorists and other petrol end users despite the Thursday statement by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) that it had resolved the logistic problems that sparked the supply crisis. Reports from across the country yesterday showed that many filling stations had no fuel to sell. Some sold over and above the threshold of N650 per litre while motorists and other buyers besieged the few ones that sold within the range of N600 per litre. While many petrol stations in Lagos sold fuel at the normal price and queues were not noticeable, it was a different story in the industrial town of Ota, Ogun State where some filling stations hiked their pump price to N799 per litre.       Rev. Sr Henrietta Alokha who until her untimely death today, was the principal of Bethlehem High School, Abule Ado was involved in a petrol pipeline explosion this morning in Abule Odo, Amuwo Odofin local government area of Lagos State. An eye witness reported that: “The roof of our building is off and a nearby school is on fire.” Reports have it that she was able to rescue all the students until she succumbed to the fire.        President Muhammadu Buhari commiserates with families who lost loved ones, and all those affected by explosion in Abule Ado, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State, on Sunday. The President condoles with the Lagos State government and all residents affected by the unfortunate incident, which left many injured and destroyed property. President Buhari said: "I have received with sadness the news of this unfortunate incident which caused loss of lives and property. "A misfortune of whatever scale anywhere is a tragedy to the country, and while the NNPC makes efforts to determine the cause of the incident, I send my deepest and profound sympathises to the victims, their families, government and people of Lagos State." ABULE ADO EXPLOSION: SANWO-OLU ADVISES RESIDENTS TO KEEP SAFE,RELEASES PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      Hours after the fire explosion at the Abule Ado area of Lagos, the State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has advised residents in the affected area to make safety their priority, urging them to maintain a safe distance from the scene of the explosion and fire as the site is still live. The Governor also instructed the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) to immediately release personal safety equipment such as face and nose protection masks to be distributed to first responders, residents of the affected area and all safety workers at the ground zero. The safety equipment had been delivered. An explosion rocked the Western part of the State in the early hours of Sunday morning, leading to fire incident with attendant effects on the atmosphere.       No fewer than 3,500 civil servants in Imo state recently sacked by the immediate past Government of Emeka Ihedioha have been reinstated. DAILY POST reports that the new state Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma Friday, approved the release of their appointment letters and instructed that they are remunerated as at when due. According to our correspondent in the state, the Governor has charged the Head of Service, Camillus Chibuzor Nwagwu to integrate the reinstated civil servants in the scheme of things, insisting that the government is poised to creating more job opportunities rather than disengaging the people. PIPELINE EXPLOSION ROCKED ABULE ADO TODAY CRASHING MANY HOUSES.{PHOTOS}.

         A suspected pipeline explosion rocked Abule Ado close to Festac area of  Lagos State   on Sunday morning, leaving many houses and vehicles destroyed. it was learnt that the explosion brought down the roofs of buildings causing panic which resulted to residents scampering to safety. The number of casualties and damaged properties could not be ascertained as at press time as as men of the federal fire service had mobilised to the scene.According to another source ''  A big pipeline explosion that shook several houses rocked Abule Ado area of Ojo, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria on Sunday morning. Thick smokes and balls of fire enveloped the atmosphere as panic struck residents who scampered to safety. The explosion reverberated and shook houses several miles away. FG SHUT DOWN CHINESE RESTAURANT THAT REFUSED SERVING NIGERIANS IN VICTORIA ISLAND.{PHOTOS}.

      Nigerian Federal Government has shut down a   Chinese restaurant  situated in Lagos for denying Nigerians services on Friday. A Nigerian girl had taken to social media to call out Chinese establishment named the Haufei Restaurant for refusing to allow she and her friends sit down and have a meal at the place. A statement released by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, FCCPC, reveals swift action was taken against the restaurant as the statement reads; “Today, FCCPC closed Haufei Restaurant & Mall 33 Aboyade Cole, VI based on credible intel & surveillance that the biz declines service to Nigerians.
