U.S Postal Service unveils bald eagle stamps for America’s 250th birthday celebration The U.S. Postal Service is marking America’s 250th birthday with a new set of special edition stamps featuring one of the nation’s most recognizable symbols: the bald eagle. Unveiled at the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, Minnesota, the collection highlights the bird through five stages of life, from a small hatchling to the iconic white-headed adult that appears on the Great Seal. The stamps are now available for purchase nationwide. Officials say the design reflects both the life cycle of the eagle and the broader story of the United States itself. A Postal Service historian involved in the project said the imagery mirrors the nation’s own development, comparing the early stages of the eagle’s life to the country’s beginnings.               Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh,who have been on tour to various charity homes in Ghana and in Nigeria,sharing gift items.She is operating under her own Tonto Dikeh foundation,which was formed to help the poor.This last December,not only did she visit charity homes in Ghana,but she also organised football matches.Now,she was seen visiting the Teaching Hospital in Ikeja Lagos for which she went round the wards,sharing toys and gift items personally to the sick.That is vary thoughtful of her.More photos below.                           

7 MALI SOLDIERS,KILLED TODAY BY SOME ISLAMIC MILITANTS.

                   A spokesman for the Malian army,confirmed the attack in the town of Nampala,northeast of the capital Bamako,but he declined to give pressmen any details about the casualties.A Mayor named Oumar Diakite said the islamist gunmen killed at least seven Malian soldiers near the Mauntarian border,two years after France helped take back the territory seized by al-Qaeda linked militants.''The attack started at 4am.The Islamist were on motorbikes ans some were on foot.They killed seven soldiers before they were chased out of the army''.

NIGERIAN LABOUR CONGRESS,FAULTS THE 2015 BREAKUP PREDICTION OF NIGERIA.

               Ever since they predicted that Nigeria might be divided in 2015 by some international observers several years ago.The prediction is now like a jinx on Nigerians because when ever there is problem in the government,Nigerian citizens will start panicking saying ''They have said it ohh that we will divide by 2015'',now the Nigeria Labour Congress popularly known as NLC spokesperson Mr Peter Ozo Esun,who is the General Secretary said ''I am confident that the prediction will fall flat on the face .Nigeria will not disintegrate in 2015.Yes we have challenges,we however have confidence that Nigeria will rise to the challenge and deal with these challenges.Nigeria had faced challenges in the past,probably more severe than now and we did not disintegrate.I believe that this country is so united and has created ties that are not easily dissolve-able.The prediction will not come through.We are worried that the country is at war but the body l...
