 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES  President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor as the Director-General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA). The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. The President expects that the new heads of these important agencies will discharge their duties with utmost fidelity to the nation and unfailing adherence to the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and excellent service to the people of Nigeria.       Troops of 112 Task Force Battalion on clearance operations in conjunction with Civilian Joint Task Force, have neutralized more members of the crouching Boko Haram/ISWAP Terrorists, when troops raided a cluster of recently established camps along Kajeri village on Tuesday the 18th of June 2019. A thorough search of the camps resulted in the recovery of the following items; a. 2 Dane Guns b. 8 Cartridges c 2 Torch lights and d. 1 Bicycle. Furthermore, 2 Women and 3 Children suspected to have been kidnapped by the terrorists were rescued by troops around the bushes of Kajeri and Saleri villages.The rescued women and children will be handed over to the appropriate agency for further action. The camps were destroyed/burnt down by the troops, while they advanced further and cleared the surrounding dispersed localities in the general area of Kajeri and Saleri axis of the State. ANAMBRA GOVT SIGNS N525M MOU FOR COSMETIC FACTORY TODAY.{PHOTOS}.

      Gov Willie Obiano has on behalf of the Anambra State Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)with Sonny Peace Ltd -a private firm for the establishment of a factory for the manufacture of hair cosmetics. The brief but impressive signing ceremony took place at the Governor's Lodge, Awka. The MoU is worth Five hundred and twenty five million Naira (N525 million) and will see the investor contribute N500 million, while the Anambra State Government brings the remaining N25 million as their equity contributions respectively. The factory which would be sited at Oba, Idemili South Council of the state, when fully operational, will have its profits shared as follows, Investor -85%, Anambra State Government -10%, while 5% will be dedicated to Corporate Social Responsibility services.       In yet another raid aimed at eradicating the menace of internet fraud and cyber crime, popularly known as ‘yahoo-yahoo’ in the South-East region of Nigeria, the Enugu Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 arrested five suspected fraudsters. They include, Ogbu Obinna Christopher, Onyeagba Joseph, Chime Isiah, Duru Franklyn Tochukwu and Orji Uchenna. They were arrested following an early morning raid at their respective residences located at Goshen Estate and Trans Ekulu, Enugu. Their arrest followed intelligence report about their fraudulent online activities. On the strength of the information gathered, search warrants were executed in their houses/compound. Items recovered from them include, several mobile phones, laptop computers, suspected counterfeit currency in N1,000 notes totaling N31,000; three Lexus cars, one Toyota Avalon car, several ATM cards and other incriminating items.       Governor Samuel Ortom has sympathized with traders whose shops were gutted by fire yesterday at about 7pm. The Governor who described the incident as unfortunate, regretted the losses incured by the victims and prayed God to open other opportunities for them to make up for the losses. He however thanked God that no life was lost, even as he reprimanded some restive youths who used the unfortunate incidence to loot, urging them to repent or reap in full measures what they had sown. He said the inferno was one too many, stressing that Gboko and Wadata Markets had suffered similar disasters with the one of Modern Market being the forth consecutive time. LAGOS DEMOLISHES CRIMINAL HIDEOUT WITHIN MARINA AXIS.#PRESS RELEASE.
