EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

NIGERIAN ARMY DID NOT NEGLECT LANCE CORPORAL OCHEFU EMMANUEL.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

       The attention of the Nigerian Army is drawn to a video clip produced and disseminated by "Help This Life In Need Foundation", a Non-governmental organisation in which a soldier of the Nigerian Army, 13NA/70/3343 Lance Corporal Ochefu Emmanuel was appealing for help to fund his medical evacuation for kidney transplant. Although it is not in our character to expose Service personnel in publ ic especially when they have medical challenges, it is imperative to put matters in proper perspective. The Nigerian Army is a very caring service that has the welfare of its officers, soldiers and members of their families as top most priority. Therefore, it is unimaginable to allege that a soldier having medical problems would be abandoned by the Army as the video clip wants to portray. EFCC ARRAIGNS MAN FOR ALLEGEDLY DEFRAUDING BANK OF INDUSTRIES.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

       The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office, on Thursday, May 2, 2019, docked one Okey Justin Eze and his company, Ashford Industries Nigeria Limited for allegedly defrauding Bank of Industries, BoI. Eze is facing trial before Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Special Offences Court, sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on a six- count charge, bordering on obtaining money by false pretence from the bank to the tune of  N85, 500,000.00( Eighty-five Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira). Eze, who is the first defendant in the matter, allegedly obtained the sum as a loan from the bank for the purchase of items for the production of hair brushes, which he allegedly failed to account for or provided evidence of the production of the goods.
