      The Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has commended the leadership of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) for the numerous roles the Service has played in ensuring that Bauchi State remains one of the most peaceful States in the Northeastern part of Nigeria. According to him, “the presence of the NAF in the State is reassuring. The Service has not only contributed to the security of lives and properties, but has helped in improving the economic wellbeing of the good people of the State”. These assertions were made today, 24 September 2019, by the Governor while on a courtesy call on the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, in his office at Headquarters NAF in Abuja.       Lagos State Government, through the Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency, HEFAMAA, has shut down 20 health facilities in the month of August for non-compliance with regulatory standards. The Executive Secretary of HEFAMAA, Dr. Abiola Idowu who disclosed this after a monitoring and inspection exercise carried out by the agency, stressed that the State government remains committed to putting a halt to the ugly trend of having unqualified personnel work in health facilities and would continue to insist that the environment for the dispensation of medical care is suitable and hygienic for the promotion and maintenance of good health.      In its war against internet fraud, operatives of the Cyber Crime Section at the Abuja Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Tuesday September 24, 2019 raided the residence of suspected yahoo-yahoo fraudsters and arrested four of them at Plot 1202 News Engineering Estate, Dawaki, Abuja. The raid followed covert intelligence gathering and surveillance. The suspects arrested are Osasu Fred Akioyamem, Ehis Ehizoghie Egheomwan, Chukwuemeka Chanimuya and Oris Karim In the course of the operation, some of the items recovered include mobile phones, laptop computers, and a Mercedes C350.       An Abuja Federal High Court on Tuesday granted co-convener of the RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore bail. The Justice Taiwo Taiwo-led court said there was no longer a subsisting order holding Sowore in detention, hence the need to grant him bail. Justice Taiwo, however, ordered Sowore to deposit his international passport to the court while releasing him to his lawyer, Femi Falana. The judge held that Falana should be responsible for producing him in court once he has been notified of the charge against him. He said the law provides for the freedom of all Nigerians regardless of economic or political status. In a short ruling, Justice Taiwo said: “The order of court has expired.        Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has expressed shock over the demise of the late Oniru of Iruland in Lagos Island, Oba Abiodun Idowu Oniru. Gov. Abiodun who described the traditional ruler as a great leader, astute businessman and thinker said the death "is the end of an era for the entire people of Lagos State". In commiserating with the Oniru Royal Family and the people of Lagos State over the passing of Oba Idowu, Abiodun said the monarch "is not dead but passed on to greater glory because his lofty deeds will forever live in the minds of his people."
