 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

                          Chidi Mokeme's sone Noah was born on the 11 of May 2015,but the Baptism took place on the 17th of May 2015,but they didn't release any official photos from the baptism untill few hours ago when Chidi Mokeme himself shared the pictures from the baptism.Chidi wrote a very long peom caption,but from one of the pictures he captioned it ''Her name is Jean Chinwe,but you will simply call her mom.Noah's Baotism,dedication,christening,17th May,covenant,Gods glory,the comforter,super charged mum,super charged boo''.More photos below.

AFTER EKITI GOVERNOR IMPOSED A CURFEW YESTERDAY,SOME ARSONISTS,SET A MARKET ON FIRE TODAY MORNING.

                  The market that was set on fire,is said to be the bigest market in Ekiti state.This fire came few hours after the state Governor Ayodele Fayose ,imposed a dusk to dawn curfew on the state due to the clash between Hausa community and a section of Yoruba residents in the state capital Ado-Ekiti.The market was burnt between midnight and early today friday morning by unidentified persons.Although goods worth millions of naira were destroyed,efforts made by men of the fire service to put out the fire,prevented the entire market from being razed down.Head of the state fire service said they had to call Ikole Ekiti for re-inforcement.Governor Fayose had imposed a curfew between 6pm and 6am,on thursday when he visited the Hausa community at Atikankan area of Ado Ekiti following a violent clash that left three persons dead.He ordered the security agencies to arrest anyone found roaming the street in defiance of the curfew.The governor appealed to warring factions to remain cal

                        President of Burundi Pierre Nkurunziza was pictured playing football with his friends in Bujumbura,meanwhile,police and soldiers were outside,clashing with protesters in the latest push against the presidents third term bid after the failed coup.President Nkurunziza is a qualified football coach and never fails to travel with his football team.Anti Government protesters have been demonstrating since the president was nominated for a third term in power.Atleast two protesters were shot dead and eight were wounded in clashes with police in the capital Bujumbura.Heavy gunfire was heard all day in surburbs of the capital,with intense bursts of automatic weapons,as protesters in reply hurled rocks from makeshift barricades.More photos below.

ABOUT 19 PEOPLE,DIED TODAY AFTER A SUICIDE BOMBER DETONATED A BOMB IN A SHIA MOSQUE IN SAUDI ARABIA.

                   Interior Ministry spokesman in Saudi Arabia said today that ''It has been established that an individual detonated a bomb he was wearing under his cloths during friday prayers todayat Ali Ibn Abi Taleb Mosque in Kudeih in Qatif province.The attack is an act of terrorism.Security authorities will spare no effort in the pursuit of all those involved in this terrorist crime''.Though the death toll might rise from 19 to a higher number because the Mosque is filled up with 150 people.Pictures posted on social ,media purported to show the devastation with dead bodies,strewn across the floor and shattered glass covering the courtyard of the Mosque.No one has claimed responsibility for the bombing,the first to target the Shia community in Saudi Arabia since November when gunmen killed at least eight people in an attack on a religious anniversary celebration,also in the east.
