PDP: NO GOING BACK ON ZONING ARRANGEMENT-MAKARFI SAID TODAY.{PHOTO}

Image
       Sen. Ahmed Makarfi, National Chairman, National Caretaker Committee, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to honouring its zoning agreement. He stated this on Tuesday in Abuja in a meeting with Northern leaders and elders of PDP to harmonise the region’s position on the zoning arrangement for the 2019 general elections and the party’s convention in December. Recently, a ranking member of the party and the governor of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose declared his intention to run for the highest position in Nigeria, flouting the party’s zoning of the position to the North. Makarfi therefore urged party members to respect the zoning arrangement, saying that it was one of the decisions taken at the Port Harcourt Convention in May. “I want to expatiate that the Supreme Court has also affirmed the supremacy of our convention. “I wish to emphasize that the Supreme Court in affirming the authenticity of our caretaker committee has also rea

RE – GRAPHIC IMAGES: ISIS AMBUSHES NIGERIAN ARMY CONVOY, EXECUTES SOLDIERS.

         The attention of the Theatre Command Operation Lafiya Dole has been drawn to a news article published online by   Almardanews.com   (AMN), in which one Chris Tomson claimed ISIS had in an ambush against Nigerian Army convoy, executed 30 soldiers on Friday afternoon. It is very pertinent to state here, that contrary to the report, there was no such attack or ambush on any convoy of troops of operation Lafiya Dole by ISIS or any other adversary within or outside the theatre of operation. The said report is not only false but another media propaganda and an attempt by Boko Haram terrorists to remain relevant and portray seeming potency. The graphic images used to support the article has been closely studied and found to lack nexus to any recent operational engagements of operation Lafiya Dole. The photographs culled from "only god knows where" are not a reflection of recent operational encounters of Lafiya Dole. The concocted story is therefore unsubstantiated and lack

     Senator Saraki wrote on his social media with this photos '' On September 29th, I expressed my concern on the rising drug menace in the country. I emphasized that it is time for all of us to recognize this problem and address it in a sensible manner. Considering the socio-economic state of the country, this drug abuse issue that is often swept under the carpet must be brought to the forefront of our national dialogue before it is too late.
