 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country.                  According to sources,the three members of the House of Representatives accused of soliciting for sex while on a tour of the United States of America have been exonerated of the crime.The three members accused of sexual misconduct while on a trip to the United States are Mohammed Gololo {AP-Bauchi}; Mark Gbillah {APC-Benue} and Samuel Ikom {PDP-Akwa Ibom}.The House Committee on Ethics and Privileges passed the verdict on tuesday in a report submitted to the House.Former United States Ambassador to Nigeria,James Entwistle,had accused the lawmakers of sexually assaulting a house keeper and soliciting for sex while attending the International Visitors Leadership Programme in Cleverland,Ohio.However, Hon.                     The EFCC today,October 11,2016 arraigned one Wahab Olawale Amoo and his company,Wahab Amoo and Sons Nigeria Limited before Justice Adedayo of the Lagos State High Court,sitting in Igbosere on count charge bordering on four counts bordering on Conspiracy,Forgery and Obtaining by False Pretence to the tune of Fifty Million Naira {N50,000,000.00}.The accused person allegedly conspired with his company,the 2nd accused person,to defraud the complainant Fidelity Bank Plc of the sum of Fifty Million Naira {N50,000,000.00} only by using forged documents to secure a loan facility through a property which was under caveat  at the Land Registry,Lagos State.He pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against him.In view of his plea,the prosecution counsel Fadeke Giwa asked the court for a trial date and also requested that the defendant be remanded in prison custody.However,the defense counsel Eric Uteh told the court th...

                                         According to Vanguard,Shell has appointed a new Vice President for Nigeria and Gabon.He is Peter Costello and succeeds Markus Droll who assumes a new role of Executive Vice President,Projects in Shell International based in Rijswijk,The Netherlands.Peter Costello has spent over three decades in the oil and gas industry,starting his career in British Gas and working in the UK,India,The Philippines,Thailand and Kazakhstan.He tansferred to Shell following the combination with BG in June 2016.Peter,who has assumed duty in Lagos,said: ''I come to Nigeria with high hopes of what we can do to build on the excellent work that I've met on the ground.Shell Companies in Nigeria are major contributors to the economy,through the energy they produce and the revenues they generate for the country,'' among others,but also via their supply chains,local content...
