KING CHARLES III TO RESUME PUBLIC DUTIES NEXT WEEK AFTER CANCER TREATMENT. (PHOTO).

 King Charles III to resume public duties next week after cancer treatment The British monarch, King Charles III, will resume his public duties next week following a three-month break to focus on his treatment and recuperation. A few months ago, the British monarch was diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer and has been receiving treatment. However, Buckingham Palace on Friday said the monarch would be visiting a cancer treatment centre on Tuesday, the first of several public appearances he will make in the coming weeks. According to the palace, one of his first major engagements will be to host a state visit by the emperor and empress of Japan in June. EFCC SECURES CONVICTION OF AN ATM FRAUDSTER AT ENUGU TODAY.{PHOTO}.

       The EFCC on Wednesday September, 13, 2017 arraigned and secured the conviction of one Mr. Ayomide Olamide before Justice. H. O Eya of the State High Court, Enugu State on a one-count charge bordering on ATM Fraud, Conspiracy, Impersonation and Obtaining Money under False Pretences contrary to Section 388 of Cap 30 Criminal Code law and punishable under section 388 of the same law.

     Detectives attached to the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), Lagos Command, have arrested the killer of Reverend Father Cyriacus Onunkwo, a Catholic priest serving in Imo State. . The suspect, identified as Raphael Ndukwe, was tracked down to his hideout in the Ajangbadi area of Ojo, based on a tip-off. .Fr. Onunkwo was kidnapped in Imo State by gunmen on Friday, September 1, 2017 from his car and taken to Omumma, where his body was found the next day. .He was returning home to organise the funeral of his late father when he was abducted. Ndukwe is the leader of a kidnapping gang that had been terrorising Imo State for many months.He escaped to Lagos after four of his members were arrested in the state. LAGOS BANS INTER-STATE BUSES,VEHICLES ALONG IKORODU ROAD+GIVES OPERATORS 7-DAY ULTIMATUM TO MOVE TO BERGER,OJOTA PARKS.{PHOTOS}.

      The Lagos State Government on Wednesday announced the restriction of the operation of inter-state buses and vehicles operating along Ikorodu Road from going beyond Ojodu Berger and Ojota Motor Parks. The State Government has also issued a seven-day ultimatum to the operators to relocate to the designated inter-state motor parks at Ojodu Berger and Ojota, after which stiff sanction would apply to defaulters. Speaking after embarking on a joint inspection tour of ongoing construction of Modern Bus Terminal at Yaba and the beautification project at Jibowu, the State’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Steve Ayorinde said the decision of the government was in line with the determination of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration to free the city of avoidable nuisances and install sanity and civility in the environment. NO FRACAS BETWEEN NUJ ABIA STATE AND SOLDIERS ON PATROL IN UMUAHIA-ARMY.

       The attention of 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, has been drawn to social media publications alleging that troops on patrol in Umuahia town have invaded the NUJ Press Centre in Umuahia at about 10.00am today. While it was true there was an issue between some soldiers on routine patrol, the magnitude is not as was reported. What happened was that while the soldiers on patrol near the Abia State NUJ Secretariat, the y noticed some people filming them. Unfortunately, they seized and damaged their recording devices; an iPad and 2 mobile phones. Preliminary investigation shows that the items belongs to journalists on their legitimate duties. Consequently, the Commander 14 Brigade and Deputy Director Army Public Relations 82 Division waded into the matter which has since been resolved amicably. CANADA SEEKS COLLABORATION WITH EFCC.{PHOTOS}.

      The Canadian government has sought collaboration with the EFCC with the aim of expanding inter-agency collaboration and exchange of information between the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, RCMP and the anti-graft agency..      The EFCC Kaduna Zonal Office has today Tuesday 12th September 2017 arraigned an alleged international fraudster Paul Ehiemau and his company Blackrock Trading and Logistics Ltd before Justice Darius Khobo of the Kaduna State High Court on a one count charge of Advance Fee Fraud to the tune of N15 million. KIDNAP SAGA: THE IGBONLA BOYS RETURNS TO SCHOOL.{PHOTOS}

        Four of the six students abducted from the Lagos Model College, Igbonla, Epe have returned to the school, saying that they were psychologically prepared for their academic pursuits as they were determined to succeed. Speaking with media men, the Principal of the School, Mr. Bajo Olugbenga, said the two others will soon join their colleagues, while identifying the four that resumed on Monday as Agbaosi Judah, Yusuf Faruq, Rahmon   Isiaka and Jonah Peter. Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, State Ministry of Education, Mr. Adesina Odeyemi, who was on an inspection visit to the School, said he was in the school to see how it was progressing after resumption. He noted that the students have responded well especially in Igbonla, adding that he was positive that more students would resume before the end of the week.
