The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. 300 Kaduna Teachers Have Not Received Salaries – NUT The Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Teachers, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Syrus Hassan, has said about 300 of their members have not received salaries for several months. He disclosed this in an interview with newsmen at a ‘One Day Conference tagged, “Dignity of a Teacher 2023”, organised by Uncle Focus Educational Consult and General Contract Ltd, on Friday, in Kaduna. Hassan further decried that teachers were still lacking behind in terms of welfare, adding that some of their members had not been getting benefits and incentives like leave grants for months. TWO COUSINS ARRESTED FOR ARMED ROBBERY AND MURDER.  Operatives of Ogun state Police Command, on the 9th of February 2023 arrested two cousins, Damilola Famoriyo 'm' 34-year old and Akinbayo Emmanuel Abiodun 'm' 31-year old, for robbing one Amos Oyemechi Chuckwuka of his tricycle, killed him and dump his corpse at a riverbank in Ijebu-ode  The suspects were arrested following an information received by policemen attached to Obalende divisional headquarters, Ijebu Ode, on the 13th of December 2022, that a dead body which was later identified as that of a tricycle rider was found on the riverbank at Agoro area of Ijebu Ode.  Upon the information, the DPO Obalende division, SP Murphy Salami led his detectives to the scene, where it was discovered that the deceased was matcheted to death after which his tricycle was taken away.
