 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026. ABOUT 70 MIGRANTS FROM ETHIOPIA,DROWNED TODAY.

                      A senior staff working with the Ministry of interior,confirmed that 70 migrants from Ethiopia,drowned today off the coast of Yemen.He said ''The small vessel was trying to reach the Red Seaport city of Al-makha when it capsized in bad weather.Security forces were striving to hunt down the owner of the boat,who we believed to be a human trafficker''.More details later.

BARRISTER FALANA,FILED A PETITION IN FAVOUR OF THE 12 SOLDIERS SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MUTINY ''INJUSTICE''.

                    The soldiers on May 18,2014 staged a protest over the killing of 10 of their colleagues by the Boko Haram sect.This led to the shooting of the General Officer Commanding {GOC},Major General Ahmed Mohammed at the Maimalari cantonment.Although he was not injured,but he was removed as GOC and retired from the Army for not attending to the grievances of the soldiers.18 of the soldiers were tried by the court martial,presided over by Brigadier General Chukwuemeka Okonkwo which acquitted five of them,convicted and sentenced 12 to death and jailed one for 28 days with hard labour.Falana in the petition dated December 5,2014 argued that the death sentence pronounced on the 12 officers was unjust against the background of their action.He noted in the petition that the soldiers had been protesting against poor equipment,non payment of salaries and allowances.Falana stated that the fact that President Goodluck Jona...
