The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.       In order to improve waste disposal and create a clean and healthy environment,the Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has established the Ogun state Waste Management Authority,OGWAMA. The Governor has also appointed designated Mr Ola Oresanya as Special Adviser to oversee waste evacuation and management in the State. The Adviser who has since resumed duty told Waste Managers how the new Agency would work at a meeting in Abeokuta Wednesday. He said henceforth waste Managers in the state must have at least two compatibles, evidence of three years tax payment to the Ogun state government and valid registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission. Mr Oresanya also disclosed that the agency which would become fully operational in January and would partner with contractors and investors in the sector for optimal performance. Major Nicola Wetherill was awarded an MBE after she made history by planning and leading the first all-female team across the Antarctic unassisted. Corporal Netra Rana was seriously injured when his vehicle hit an IED south of Kandahar in January 2008. Since recovering from his injuries, Corporal Netra Rana has competed in sitting volleyball competitions and is a GB Paralympian and Invictus Games medal winner. He was awarded an MBE during today’s Investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace. ⛳  Golfer Georgia Hall won the 2018 Women’s British Open.       The EFCC, Sokoto Zonal Office, has arrested one Amina Kabo (a.k.a Firdausi Kabo) a wonder Bank Manager and promoter of Olive Micro Finance Bank, located at No. 26 Dubabe Plaza. She was arrested for alleged offences of Conspiracy, Forgery and Obtaining Money by False Pretence to the tune of N897, 500 (Eight Hundred and Ninety Seven Thousand, five hundred Naira). The Zonal Head, Abdullahi Lawal, while parading the suspect at a press briefing in Sokoto on Friday, December 6, 2019, described the arrest as “a big success”.
