 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. It was also alleged that Some angry youths in the area reacted and chased the soldier into a hotel along Gusau - Sokoto Road. Also stated in the report was that angry the youths blocked Gusau – Sokoto Road bye pass and set an army operational vehicle ablaze. The NA wishes to state that the sad incident is quite regrettable and condole with the family of the deceased. Operatives of the Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 11 suspected illegal oil bunkerers in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Six of the suspects: Adinadu Chinonso; Chinedu Okoh; Paul Ejiofo; Christian Nweke, Nnaji Chidinma and Donatus Nnamani were arrested on May 7, 2021, along ÑPA Road, Port Harcourt, while the remaining five susoects: Francis Ezeakalam; Uchenna Asiegbu; Uchenna Okah, Ibrahim Olapade and Ndidi Akuneho were arrested on May 9, 2021 at the same location. They were arrested based on verified intelligence obtained by the EFCC, on their alleged involvement in illegal oil bunkering. Items recovered from them include: three Mack Trucks without any registration number, one Volkswagen bus and one Nissan car. OPERATION ZENDA UNCOVERS SIX DECOMPOSING CORPSES IN KATSINA-ALA.{PHOTOS}.

Men of Operation Zenda headed by their commander CSP Justine Gberindyer lead his team to Tavachan to uncover another mass grave of victims. The two suspects, Aondoaseer Terseer alias Bob Tsetse, 23 years and Orkashima David alias Cash - money who is 22 years were arrested in Osun State after both fled following the killings, kidnapping, and armed robbery activities carried out in mbamon, Tavachan, Michiche Council ward of Katsina - Ala LGA of Benue in less than three years. The two suspects who are secondary school drop - outs are members of a ten-man criminal syndicate who took men of Operation Zenda round to uncover shallow graves, both in dry and abandoned wells where they kept their dead victims to conceal their nefarious acts.   Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit (Taskforce) served has squatters at Iganmu Under Bridge (Whitesand) a three-day notice for the removal of all illegal structures, trucks and vehicles in the area. The Chairman of the Agency, CSP Shola Jejeloye, advised the owners of the illegal structures, abandoned trucks and shanties to immediately vacate the area within the stipulated period given by the State Government. CSP Jejeloye, while appealing to traders, mechanics, and other squatters living under the bridge in clusters, noted that Government would enforce the three-day removal notice on Thursday, 13th May 2021.
