COURT JAILS TWO FOR N14.8M FRAUD IN MAIDUGURI. (PHOTO). #PRESS RELEASE.

 Court Jails Two for N14.8m Fraud in Maiduguri Justice B.T Zannah of the Borno State High Court sitting in Maiduguri, on Monday, July 13, 2026 convicted and sentenced two to three years imprisonment. The convicts are: Babagana Bukar and Hauwa Chabri.  The convicts were arraigned on Monday, July 13, 2026 by the Maiduguri Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a separate one -count charge for the offence of criminal misappropriation to the tune of N14,800,000.00 (Fourteen  Million, Eight Hundred Thousand Naira). The charge against Bukar reads: "That you, Babagana Bukar sometimes in 2025 at Maiduguri, Borno State within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, dishonestly misappropriated and converted to your own use the aggregate sum of N8,800,000.00 (Eight Million, Eight Hundred Thousand Naira)  money belonging to Bunu Gambo Liman, being amount given to you through Babakura Umar and Bello Adamu for the supplies of 100 bags of IRS...

                                                           According to an eye-witness named Chukwuma Ani who spoked to HITZ,said he witnessed the incident and was one of the men who pulled Teebillz off the bridge,he said around 9 this morning while driving on the Lekki-Ikoyi toll bridge,a car hit his own from behind,damaging his car.He said he came out of the car and approached the driver of the vehicle that hit his.He didn't know who the man was {it was Teebillz} but he said he berated him for hitting his car and asked the man to come out and assess the damage caused to his car.The man looked at him and told him to leave..that he was there for a reason.That he was planning to commit suicide and Chukwuma Ani would hear about it later...Tillbillz decided to take this drastic move of committing suicide after him and his wife Tiwa Savage cal...

                                                       The Federal Government has declared Monday May 2 as public holiday to commemorate this year's Workers Day Celebration.The Minister of Interior,Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau {rtd},who announced this on behalf of the federal government,congratulated Nigerian Workers for their resilience,hard work and commitment to the change mantra of President Muhammadu Buhari's administration,despite current challenges.According to a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary,Ministry of Interior,Bassey Okon,the minister enjoined Nigerians to continue to support the President in his desire to fight corruption,ensure security of lives and property and stabilize the economy through creation of jobs and diversification of the economy.One more photo below.                 ...

A CONVENT IS ABOUT TO CLOSE DOWN,BECAUSE GHANA WOMEN REFUSED TO BECOME NUNS FOR THE PAST 18 YEARS.

                  A nun convent in Ghana is likely to soon be closed,since Ghanaian women have refused to become nuns for the past 18 years,since it has been in operation.The Philippine nuns who opened the convent with hopes of filling their ranks haved aged and their superiors have threatened to close the convent if they don't get any members in five years.Only one Ghanaian woman tried to join the Carmelite nuns but ran away.According to sources who said a local Ghanaian woman said ''Leaving my family,my friends behind to go and live such a contemplative life?.I don't think i could do it.I would not be allowed to even watch television.God!''.Father Gerald Zenah,Chaplain of the Catholic Youth in Tamale believes that amending the conditions for entry and raising the age limit of being younger than 40 years might make things better according to DW.One more photo below.                      ...

5 BOKO HARAM WERE ARRESTED YESTERDAY ALONG DIKWA ROAD,BY THE NIGERIAN ARMY.{PHOTOS}.

                  Following reports by some good citizens about Boko Haram terrorists activities and on hearing of very loud explosions near Dikwa yesterday wednesday morning,the 27th of April 2016,troops of 22 Brigade embarked on a patrol to Ajiri and Antul villages,South East of Dikwa along Dikwa-Gulumbagana road.The patrol made contact with Boko Haram logistics elements who specialised in using the 2 villages as base for food storage and other logistics before moving them to Bama and then to Sambisa forest.In the encounter 5 Boko Haram terrorists were arrested comprising 3 adults and 2 minors.The under aged male children were dressed in new Boko Haram uniforms we earlier reported.The troops recovered 1 truck,2 Golf cars painted in mud,4 bicycles and 3 x 5kva power generating set,as well as 55 bags of corn.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Director Army Public Relations.More photos below.               ...
