 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

MUHAMMAD ALI,TO BE BURIED ON FRIDAY+HE DIED OF SEPTIC SHOCK LATE FRIDAY.

                    According to a family spokesman who said yesterday saturday that,Septic shock was the cause of Muhammad Ali's death late friday night.A public memorial service and funeral procession will be held this friday for Ali in his hometown of Louisville,Ky,where he will be buried.Ali died at 9:10 pm MST friday in Scottsdale,Ariz.The cause of death was septic shock,the result of an infection that spreads throughout the body and causes vital organs to sut down.It came from unspecified natural causes,according to a family spokesman Bob Gunnell.Ali,who suffered from Parkinson's disease,was surrounded by family when he died.Gunnll said a private ceremony for Ali's family will be thursday in Louisville.A funeral procession through the city,the route passing by his boyhood home,will precede the public ceremony at 2 pm ET Friday.Ali who was Muslim,developed plans for his funeral years ago,Gunnell said.The interfaith memorial service will include clerics from several rel

                                         Congratulation to Mr and Mrs Esedebe,as they baptised their twin children {a boy and a girl} at the church of Divine Mercy Lekki phase one yesterday saturday the 4th of June 2016 in which their very close friends and family members attended in style and high fashion.The mass started around 8:am and the Reverend father preached about the roles a a godparent to all the children that were also baptised yesterday.After the church service,their guest were pampered with nice refreshment plus music at their residence and i was present to cover the event.More photos below.

AMBODE DENIES KIDNAP ATTEMPT ON HIS MOTHER+CAUTIONS AGAINST SENSATIONAL JOURNALISM.

                 The Lagos State Governor yesterday saturday denied media reports claiming that a kidnap attempt was made on his mother,Mrs Christianah Ambode at her residence in Gbagada area of the state on friday evening.The governor,in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary,Mr Habib Aruna,denied the media report,saying that it was not a true reflection of what transpired at the residence of his mother.An online newspaper had claimed that heavily armed gunmen invaded the Governor's mother's residence and disarmed the octogenarian's police detail in an apparent attempt to abduct her.The newspaper had further reported that the unfortunate development took plac at about 7:30 pm,while a back-up team arrived at the scene at about 8:10pm.Responding,Aruna said:''Whilst it is true that a commotion occurred at the residence of the Governor' mother on the fateful day,it was however far from the truth that it was a kidnap attempt.What really transpired was that

IGP CONDEMNS THE KILLING OF MRS BRIDGET ABAHIME IN KANO STATE+2 PEOPLE ARRESTED FOR HER MURDER.{READ}.

                          Following the unfortunate incident that occurred in Kano state where one Bridget Abahime was mobbed and extra-judicially murdered,the Inspector General of Police,IGP Solomon E Arase,has called for calm while reassuring the family of the deceased and indeed,the general public tht justice shall be done in the case.In furtherance to this firm commitment,it is confirmed that the Kano State Police Command has succeeded in arresting two key suspects in connection with the unfortunate incident.Those arrested incled Dauda Ahmed and Subeiru Abubakar.In order to ensure a diligent and professional investigation,the Inspector General of Police has directed the Deputy Inspecto General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department {FCIID} to deploy the Homicide Section of the Department to immediately take over the investigation of the case and ensure a meticulous investigation and speedy prosecution of the arrested suspects.The Inspect

               Following credible information on the presence of Boko Haram terrorists,their camp and other facilities at Chukungudu,a carefully planned and deliberate attack comprising troops of 3 Battalion,22 Brigade Garrison,and 153 Task Force Battalion of 7 Division and 8 Task Force Division as well as Nigeria Airforce Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance {ISR} and some Civilian JTF,was carried out on Boko Haram terrorists stronghold and camp at Chukungudu on friday 3rd June 2016.While advancing to the location,the troops encountered Boko Haram terrorists ambush positions at Muskari,Gilam and Hausasi before descending on their main objective at Chukungudu.During the encounter at the camp,thr troops killed 19 Boko Haram Terrorists including their notorious leader in the area called Ameer Abubakar Gana.They also discovered and destroyed the terrorists Improvised Explosive Devices {IEDs} making factory,discovered and successfully detonated 4 primed IEDs.The troops also recovered 2
