  Four more kidnapped Abuja-Kaduna Train passengers have regained their freedom from terrorists who kidnapped them alongside several others on Monday, March 28, 2022. Three of them were released on Monday, according to a source privy to the negotiations leading to their freedom from terrorists’ den while the fourth person was released about six days ago. The kidnap victims include Oluwatoyin Ojo, Hassan Lawan, and Pastor Ayodeji Oyewumi, while Mrs Gladys Brumen was earlier released days ago. Hassan was one of the kidnap victims who spoke in the latest video released by the terrorists on Saturday, where he called on the international community to come to their aid in captivity. The trio release comes about 48 hours after the terrorists released their latest video where they were seen flogging the kidnapped passengers. 2023 census: Abiodun tasks NPC boss on conduct of credible enumeration exercise  The Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, called on the National Population Commission (NPC) to conduct a credible enumeration exercise that would form the basis for equitable management and distribution of financial resources in the country. Abiodun made this known while receiving the Chairman of the (NPC) Nasir Isa Kwarra, in his office Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Monday. Fire Razes Two-Storey Building in Onitsha, Property Destroyed Property worth millions of naira were lost in a fire outbreak at a two-storey residential building in Akunnia Street, Woliwo, Onitsha, Anambra State in the early hours of Monday. The incident, which occurred around 4.35am, affected the last floor of the building. Though no life was lost in the inferno, the fire, according to eyewitnesses, would have spread to other adjourning buildings if not for quick intervention of neighbors before the arrival of firefighters who later brought it under control. Security Breeches: FG Orders Immediate Closure of FGC Kwali, Abuja.  The Federal Ministry of Education has ordered the immediate closure of one of its colleges, the Federal Government College, FGC, Kwali, located in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja .  The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, who gave the directive said the closure became necessary following security breaches on Sheda and Lambata Villages, suburbs of Kwali Area Council which also threatened the school.  A statement signed by the Director Press and Public Relations, Ben Bem Goong, quoted the Minister, as saying the timely intervention of security agencies saved the situation and therefore, directed that arrangements be made for final year students to conclude their NECO examinations. Yahoo Boy Bags 2Years Jail Term in Nasarawa Justice N.I Afolabi of the Federal High Court sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Friday, July 22, 2022, convicted and sentenced one Okoha Chinedu Charles to two years imprisonment for fraudulent impersonation. Chinedu, 25, who hails from Ebonyi State representing himself as a military personnel serving in Yemen and used a Thai and Spanish language translation app to chat with Thai women with the intent to defraud them. He was prosecuted on one count charge by the Makurdi Zonal Command of the EFCC.

ICPC arraigns Deputy High Court Registrar over Fraud The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has arraigned a Deputy Chief Registrar of the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, Mrs. Nkem Apollonia Mba, for alleged involvement in fraudulent activities. Mrs. Mba was docked on a three-count charge before Justice Leteem Nyordee, of the Federal High Court 12, Port Harcourt, for offences bordering on abuse of office and corrupt demand of gratification by a public officer. One of the counts revealed that the Deputy Chief Registrar received a kickback of N500,000 through her bank account from the purchase of Automotive Gas Oil popularly known as diesel and other products.
