   The attention of the entire People of Rivers State has been drawn to the siege laid at the Hotel where the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike is lodging while on official assignment in Benin, Edo State. Recall that Governor Wike was appointed Chairman of the PDP National Campaign Council for the Edo Governorship election; this is same position Governor Ganduje of Kano State occupies for his party the APC. Governor Ganduje and Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State are all in Benin, Edo State carrying out their assignment for the APC without any molestation or intimidation. And in a breach of the pledge they made security agencies have decided to harass and intimidate Governor Wike who has not done any wrong. When MSMEs thrives, the economy thrives VP commissions Shared Facility in Lagos to serve 136,000 MSMEs annually The Federal Government remains deeply committed to creating a more business friendly environment for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to thrive, as they are the engine room of the Nigerian economy, according to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN. Prof. Osinbajo stated this on Friday at the virtual commissioning of the Fashion Cluster Shared Facility for MSMEs, the Eko Fashion Hub 1, in Lagos State.   The Federal Government, in collaboration with the Lagos State Government, has commenced the payment of Conditional Cash Transfer to another set of beneficiaries in Apapa area of the State for the months of July and August 2020. Speaking at the second edition of the disbursement of the Cash Transfer to the beneficiaries in Apapa Local Government Area of the State on Thursday, the Honourable Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke, acknowledged the efforts of the Federal Government for extending the gesture to Lagos State and its consistency in making the monthly payment accessible to indigent Lagosians. Arobieke noted that the process of enrolment of about 6,810 households captured by the State Cash Transfer Office (SCTO) was approved by the Governor and commenced in April to fast-track the conditional cash transfer to beneficiary households in order to alleviate the sufferings of the poor and vulnerable.
