The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. The official invitation for the Coronation of The King and The Queen Consort has been revealed. Designed by Andrew Jamieson, the invitation features the motif of the Green Man, an ancient figure from British folklore, symbolic of spring and rebirth, to celebrate the new reign.  Buckingham Palace is pleased to share the invitation for the Coronation, which will be issued in due course to over 2,000 guests who will form the congregation in Westminster Abbey. It is also announced today that eight Pages of Honour have been chosen to attend Their Majesties during the Coronation Service. The invitation for the Coronation has been designed by Andrew Jamieson, a heraldic artist and manuscript illuminator whose work is inspired by the chivalric themes of Arthurian legend. While enforcing the existing ban on the use of motorcycles in parts of Lagos State, Police Officers of Isolo Division came under attack from motorcycle riders at Cele bus-stop, resulting in the death of one Police Inspector & serious injury to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO). Two suspects have been arrested while forty-one motorcycles were impounded. The Lagos State Police Command will not be deterred from carrying out its mandate of enforcing duly established laws. law-abiding, as riders and passengers alike arrested on prohibited routes will face the law.  Above all, any form of attack on Police Officers will no longer be tolerated!. JAMAICA WANT TO START BUYING CARS FROM INNOSON. (PHOTOS).

Jamaica has said that it wants to buy cars from Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing. Esmond Reid, the Jamaican High Commissioner to Nigeria, talked about this plan on Saturday during a tour of the IVM plant in Nnewi, Anambra State. He said, “For us, it’s a great chance to see cars being made here in Nigeria, which is one of our southern brothers. “It is also a chance to be able to discuss commercial opportunities for sourcing vehicles from Nigeria. “This is my first visit. I will go and consult with my stakeholders back home to look at the timeline and determine the negotiations and engagements and when we will start the business of sourcing the vehicles.” One more photo below.

According to the General Manager of LASBCA, Arc. Gbolahan Owodunni Oki, the building under the powerline is a disaster waiting to happen because of the electromagnetic waves from it which may cause a fire outbreak hence the need for its removal. LASTMA RESCUES 10 ACCIDENT VICTIMS AT ADENIJI-ADELE, LAGOS. Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Tuesday rescued 10 severely injured accident victims at Adeniji-Adele junction inward Obalende by Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos. According to Adejunwon Olalekan, a LASTMA Officer who led the rescue operations, it was an accident caused by a commercial bus. He said preliminary investigation revealed that the said bus lost control as a result of over-speeding and somersaulted leaving 10 passengers with severe injuries. He explained that the rescued victims were immediately rushed to Marina General Hospital by the LASTMA personnel on duty in the axis for urgent medical treatment.  Olalekan also revealed that the Bus involved in the accident was immediately removed from the road to avoid impeding the free flow of traffic and handed over to the Policemen from Adeniji-Adele Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigations.  Kidnapped Wife Of Ogboni Leader Returns, Says Dead Husband Rescued Her From Forest One of the kidnapped wives of the Ogboni Aborigines leader abducted has regained freedom. She explained that her late husband appeared to her in the forest to rescue her. Kidnappers had early hours on Monday raided the Imesi-Ile residents of Oba Ogboni Agbaye, Abdullahi Olakisan while he was away in Osogbo, abducting his two wives. Olakisan while returning from a search mission for his wives along with a policeman and another woman was involved in an accident and three of them died.  Court Suspends Labour Party’s National Chairman, Secretary, Others April 5, 20230 A Federal Capital Territory High Court has issued an order restraining the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure; National Secretary, Farouk Ibrahim and two others from parading themselves as national officers of the party. Others stopped from parading themselves as national officers are the National Organising Secretary, Clement Ojukwu and the Treasurer, Oluchi Opara. Justice Hamza Muazu issued the restraining order while ruling in ex-parte application argued by a James Onoja.
