EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

TODAY,CONGO CLOSES THEIR BORDER WITH CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC.

                 According to Congo's Spokesman Lambert Mende told pressmen today tuesday that The Democratic Republic of Congo has closed its border with the Central African Republic,following four days of violence in Bangul in which at least 37 people have died.The Congolese town of Zongo lies across the Ubangi river from the capital of Central African Republic,which has seen its worst clashes this year.The two countries share a border roughly 1,100 miles long.One more photo below.                                                    

NASARAWA STATE,CONFIRMS 1 OF THEIR PILGRIMS DIED IN THE HAJJ STAMPEDE.

              Today tuesday,it was confirmed that one pilgrim from Nasarawa state,died while two others were missing in the Saudi Arabia stampede.The confirmation was contained in a statement by the board's Public Relations Officer,Mallam Abdulrazaq Mohammed in Lafia.According to the statement,one of the 54 Nigerian pilgrims confirmed dead by National Hajj Commission {NAHCON} in a stampede in Mina,has been confirmed to be from Nasarawa state.It added that two oither pilgrims from the state who were declared missing had not beed found.The dead pilgrim,the statement said,is Mallam Ahmad Mainasara from Gadaukr community in Toto Local Government Area of the state.It said that the deceased and a close companion were on their way to Jamrat {stoning} when he met his untimely death which was witnessed by the close companion who narrowly escaped the stanpede.It gave the name of the missing person as Mallama Rashida Shuaibu,adding that the name of the other,who hailed from Keffi had not been

NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT,RECEIVED THE LAST BATCH OF EBOLA RESCUE TEAM TODAY.

                   Today tuesday,the Permanent Secretary of the ministry Linus Awute,who was represented by Dr Sani Gwarzo,Director,Port Health Services and Nigeria Centre for Disease control,received the last batch of Nigeria's Ebola rescue teams from Sierra Leone and Liberia.while receiving the delegation in Abuja,welcomed the members of the teams and said the country was happy that all who went for the mission came back safe and sound.He said that members of the teams would be under health observation for few days.He further said that out of 204 persons went on the mission to Sierra Leone and Liberia,188 returned in May,seven came back yesterday monday,and five returned today tuesday.''The 12 that have arrived are all healthy but we must,under scientific protocol,give them a thorough screening,both for other health conditions and Ebola.The contributions of Nigeria cannot be qualified in these countries,it has been very substantial in many forms.At the time Nigerians cont
