      The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office, on Thursday 7, 2019, arraigned Bishop Ginika Obi James, Kingsĺey Ibe Francis, Amaka Janet Okafor, Lokwutor Tina and Praise Ochei, before Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court Asaba, Delta State, on a six count charge of obtaining by false pretence. The defendants were alleged to have fraudulently obtained various sums of money from their victims under  the pretence of investing the money in a phony ‘Gideon Foundation Project’. The defendants were also alleged to have promised to share 40 per cent dividend from the investment with his victims which turned out to be fake.       Lagos State Government on Thursday presented Retirement Benefit Bond Certificates worth N1,001,139,000 (One billion, One million and One Hundred and Thirty-Nine Thousand Naira) to 177 Public Service retirees. Speaking at the event held at the LASPEC Complex, NECA House, Ikeja, the Commissioner for Establishments, Training and Pensions, Dr. Akintola Benson-Oke stated that under the present administration a total number of 10,601 retirees from the Mainstream Service, Local Government/State Universal Basic Education (SUBEB), Teachers Establishments Training & Pensions Office (TEPO) and other agencies of government had received accrued pension rights in excess of N43billion.        Rivers State Government has accused the Minister of Transportation Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and the GOC of 6 Division, Nigeria Army of masterminding the mass arrest of innocent Nigerians and prominent PDP members in the State.
