The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. Terrorists Received N200m Ransom To Release Family Of 6, One Other Abducted On Abuja-Kaduna Train After Five Months–Report Terrorists were reportedly paid a ransom of N200 million to release the kidnapped passengers of the Abuja-Kaduna train recently freed by abductors, according to FIJ. SaharaReporters on Wednesday reported that four children and three adults among the passengers abducted on a Kaduna-bound train in March 2022 were released. The passengers freed on Wednesday include a family of six. The children were among the 65 passengers abducted when the terrorists bombed the rail track, killing eight passengers and injuring several others on March 28, 2022. A Kaduna-based publisher, Tukur Mamur, who negotiated the release of some of the passengers, announced on Wednesday in a statement that the children and their parents were released after the intervention of Sheik Ahmad Gumi. Anne Heche, the Emmy-winning actress who starred in films like Six Days, Seven Nights and the Psycho remake, has died at age 53 following injuries she sustained in a car crash few days ago but the plug was pulled today and her organs will he donated.  Very sad. She was a very troubled soul, hard childhood of poverty and sexual abuse. Her father died when she was 13 and shortly after, her older brother died in a car crash. Just 30 mins before, she had stopped at a wig store in Venice and bought a red wig and the owner took a selfie with her. Awful for her sons, the youngest is only 13. Thank God the woman and her pets in the house she demolished was unharmed, but lost everything. A Go Fund Me has raised $100,000 to help her recover. She was Ellen DeGeneres ex partner. A prison face-off between members of two rival cartels in the Mexican border city of Juarez caused a riot and shootouts that killed 11 people, most of them civilians, authorities said on Friday. Los Chapos, members of the infamous Sinaloa Cartel formerly led by Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, and local group Los Mexicles, clashed in a prison Thursday afternoon, Deputy Security Minister Ricardo Mejia said. A riot then broke out, leaving two shot to death and four injured with bullet wounds, Mejia said, speaking alongside Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador at a regular news conference. Another 16 were injured in the fighting, he said. Officials did not say what caused the clash. Following the riot, the Mexicles rampaged in the city, authorities said, killing nine civilians.
