                  Yesterday monday,the Nigeria Minister of Foreign Affairs Geoffrey Onyeama has said that the Nigeria's Membership of the Islamic coalition against terror has nothing to do with religion.The minister blamed the media for not being responsible enough in the presentation of their report.Rather than dwelling on the religious perspective,the minister said the media ought to be more interested in the objectives of the coalition.Speaking with State House correspondents after a meeting with Buhari at the Presidential Villa,Abuja,Onyeama noted that terrorism is a blobal phenom,enon and Nigeria would support any move to deal with it.He said the Islamic countries were uncomfortable with the perception that terrorism is Islamic and wants ti show that it is not the case.The minister noted that the coalition wants to show that terrorists do not speak for Islam and that nothing in Islamic teaching encourages terrorism.''What i say first of ...

                     On saturday,the United States launched an air strike in Somalia that killed more than  1 50 fighters with the al-Qaeda-linked Islamist group al-Shabaab.Using both manned aircraft and unmanned MQ-9 Reaper drones,targeted al-Shabaab's ''Raso'' training camp,a facility about  1 20 miles north of the capital Mogadishu.The U.S military had been monitoring the camp for several weeks before the strike and had gathered intelligence,including about an imminent threat posed by those in the camp to U.S forces and African Union Peacekeepers.U.S Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James described the strikes as ''Defensive in nature.There was intelligence..these fighters would soon be embarking upon missions that would directly impact the U.S and our Partners''.More photos below.
